Impressive collection
Jul 2021
I've seen it from the highway many times and now that I finally found some time to visit it I wish I had done so earlier. They have a great collection of army vehicles, both well-known and unique ones. It's much larger than I expected and really impressive. There's also an exhibition on military history of the area.

Much to see
Jul 2020 • Family
If you're interested in this sort of thing the place is well worth a visit. There are quite a number of tanks and vehicles as well as figurines and models. It typically takes one to two hours to to see it all, so it's just right in my opinion, and if you bring children there are puzzles for them to do too.

One of the best and interesting war museums I have been into.
May 2019
We have traveled to Stockholm, Sweden this year. We bought a ticket for the public transport, then took a train and a bus to get there. Altough it took some time to get there, it was worth it. Inside the museum, you will see the war equipment and machinery. I heard they also host some events, but we did not see any of them. I would recommend visiting this museum.

Unique collection

Arsenalen is Swedens biggest defence vehicle museum and is located just outside the town Strängnäs. The museum will take you on a tour from pre WW1 to modern times and current tanks and vehicles. A lot off the exhibits are prototypes of which several never went into production giving you an insight to some unique vehicles. There is also an exhibition on the local regiment as well as how their life and living looked like and how they made a living in peace times. There is a nice cafe and a nice children's section. They often have theme days, guided tours and rides to give you a flavour of the vehicles when in motion. A great family museum you can spend a few hours at.

Splendid for tank fans
Aug 2018 • Family
It is not too large, but you can see there many great Swedish tanks and other tanks (British, Rusish, Czechoslovak...) serving in the Swedish army, all with interesting extensive explanatory texts (also in English), most of them with "link" to game Word of tanks - and on the first floor you can test these tanks in game - not with your own account. Especially for young visitors it is great idea, said our son :-) Three hours in exposition and next three hours inside game...
Worth to see.

Expensive

Expensive for pretty much nothing I really don't know what more to say to fill hundred letters. But I still consider that it's not wort it! I wonder why they are not satisfied with only one line to explain that it's not worth it.

Amazing place to visit
Sep 2017
If you are passionate for war history, this place is really interesting. Even kids get to have some fun since they have a wonderful play room where the little ones can climb in a couple of cars, and do some building or colouring. Plan your trip with an extra stop around Arsenalen so you have a full day out.
