Fascinating historic castle showing multiple stages of evolution as tome progressed. It was a rainy day which helped keep the crowds down. Not very good for those with mobility challenges. Great views of the lake from the top of the tower.

The castle is in wonderful condition. The self tours (with or without audio) are outstanding. There are 46 rooms that the brochure guides you through from the cellar to the towers. And parking is not a problem

After all these years of castle hunting be it in Asia, Europe or Africa, this hauntingly well-restored castle will always be my favourite among them all. We went there on a cold and wet late afternoon and it was deserted. We explored the courtyards through...More

This castle has an attractive setting as it stands on the edge of Lake Geneva. I found the heraldry room to be mildly interesting, having a good collection of Coats of Arms, but the remainder seemed very similar to almost every other castle in Europe.

The castle is an imposing sight from the road and lake, and it is certainly worth a visit for a few hours. There were a number of groups of people around, but it did not seem crowded, and we guided ourselves through the castle with...More
