This castle is beautifully kept, there’s so much to see and read to learn about what life was like back then. Be warned, there are a LOT of stairs! Some wooden ones were very narrow, but nothing to be worried about. Very easy to get...More

This castle is near Montreux-ville. You can go there by bus only 5-8 minutes so easily and it is cheap to enter. It has a very good landscape to watch Montreux-ville

We walked the promenade from the center of the town and visited the castle. We were fortunate to be there at the beginning of the annual wine expert banquet for the Canton of Vaud. Classic Swiss horns were being sounded and the experts were dressed...More

Not a big castle fan but this was fascinating. Very well preserved and presented. If you have a Swiss Pass it's free.

Our tour guide was excellent. See the chamber that was used as a prison and was also visited by Byron. Wonderful views of the lake, ornate rooms and interesting history. A very good tour if you're in the area.

The castle is located on a small rocky island next to the shore of the Lake Geneva. The basement looks astonishing as there are rocks protruding through the floor - the builders evidently quit eliminating them when they became too hard and rough. There are...More

You ask the impossible. The weather is likely to be sunny and cool depending on elevation. It can also be snowy and cold. In Switzerland most mountain passes will be closed. While 0C in Zermatt, it will be 15C in Basel.
