What a marcelous architectural masterpiece full of surprises including 2 great beaches and a broad choices of restaurants and even a bakery hidden inside.

Beautiful quirky villshe

What a lovely place. Well worth a visit though probably not with small children. I could happily stay here so peaceful with court yards and the sea just there. No cars, no bikes, no buses. Perfect.

Beautiful.

Honestly, just one of the most picturesque places I've ever been. Although all built artificially in the 60s and 70s, it still has an old timey charm. No matter were in the town you are, you can hear the sea. The views are magnificent and there are lovely places to eat meals as well as just stop for dessert!
The patios inside are so cute as well and the architecture of the entire town is stunning.
Definitely a favourite instagram spot (I'm not even ashamed to admit it- you can't blame me!).
So worth the stroll.

Artificial but cosy anyway
Nov 2018 • Family
Completely artificially old village. It is however still cosy, has a nice beach, a very large harbor allowing you free docking in case of a short stay. Streets have several shops - mostly ice cream and candy.

Undiscovered Gem

We were able to walk here from our campsite, it took 10 minutes. Wow what a magnificent little village. I’m not big on sightseeing in the heat but this was worth it! Around every corner was another surprise. Even our teenagers looked up from their phones!!!

Lovely little town along the coast!
May 2018 • Family
We walked here along a scenic coastal path from the beach at Roda de Bara. It took about 20 minutes and the path is fully paved so you don't need walking boots or special footwear. In Roc de Sant Gaieta, you will find a picturesque, quirky little town with a number of quaint shops and restaurants seemingly sitting on top of each other. There are lots of narrow walkways and tunnels with eateries all around the outside overlooking the water. It's definitely worth a visit if you're staying nearby!

Sunday visit
May 2018 • Couples
We were staying in Roda de Bara and there is a lovely walk along the promenade to El Roc. Wonderful sea views and plenty of opportunity to observe the surfers from above. There is an interesting civic village with shops, bars and restaurants and lovely quaint streets. A good way to spend a few hours.

nice place to be with children
Jul 2017 • Family
We are coming here since 2000 almost every year. It is a small place typical for families with children built as a small typical Spanish village (tough built some 40 years ago). No traffic good restaurants with reasonable prices. There are two beaches a large and a small one crowded during the week end but otherwise ok. From the Roc you can visit many historical places or wine yards.
