Elrow Halloween party
Oct 2017 • Friends
Was attending for my friends birthday. I'm not a big house fan but had heard about the production and the whole spectacle of Elrow before, so thought I'd fly over and give it a go, and I'm glad I did!
Friends had issues because they was told the tickets they paid for on Eventbrite were invalid and had to pay again on the door. The food wasn't that good either IMO, but my fault for not eating before I came. The whole show, party and vibe tho was defo worth the experience, and I would defo go back again!

Recommend it to everyone BUT

El Row is Must-Do on your bucket-list if you enjoy special party experiences.
The venue is right behind the El Prat airport giving them the freedom to throw a massive outdoor festival during day and night without being bothered.

4 dance-floors, usually very good lineups, loads of well dressed-up animators, stores and the entire atmosphere guarantee for an exceptional experience.

Living in Barcelona for 5 years now this is still a treat I try to attend at least once a year. The bigger the group you go with, the more the fun since it is sort of a festival experience.

And even though I recommend it to all my friends there are a few dark sides that can ruin the experience if not careful:
- Bouncers: Dont arrive too late (after 14h) and don't argue with the bouncers. They have rejected people with prepaid tickets (and given them their money back) for no specific reason. This is especially annoying if you have traveled to Barcelona to go to El Row.
- Transfer: Getting there is fairly easy. There is a bus that leaves from Plaza Catalunya starting 8am. 6 € cover getting there and taking the bus back. Taking the bus back is a mess though. They wont drive until the bus is full and during closing time people are fighting to get in (there is no English waiting line). A taxi back to the center costs about 30-40 € for 4 passengers.

If you are really a party catcher you must visit this club.
This place is well-known with their special after parties.
Only the disadvantage is location but when you arrive there ı would not be a problem at all..

Row 14 Barcelona
Aug 2012 • Friends
Amazing big club on the outskirts of the city with a bus that takes you to the venue from the centre of Bcn and leaves you back again in the very wee hours (Row 14 closes around 6am).
An absolute must for serious fans of electronic music, big names in techno, Drum&Bass, and House play here regularly.
The bus ride out of the city with everybody in full club mode and many of them dressed for the occasion all builds the anticipation. Amazing experience!

Wow, what a club!

When I came to Barcelona I was surprised how many clubs there are and how few of them bring quality music. I do not go the those places in Port Olympic because it is nothing more than a discoteque for kids.
Row14 is different. You can see the best current electronic music from house to techno or drum&bass. I saw Loco Dice and Richie Hawtin techno djs on Sunday morning afterparties and another week it was Sub Focus and Andy C from drum&bass and I everytime I was very excited about the party.
It seems that the crowd going to Row is different and prepares for the parties with colourful clothes and funny accesories. And that really makes the atmosphere inside I can tell.
Although it is not in the centre you can go there with free bus from the centre or by taxi as I do. If you come with friends they pay you the taxi to the club. I like that :))

Bit of a trek but worth the wait...
Apr 2011
A friend and I bought tickets for Koen Groeneveld (12 midnight til 6am) and Tiga at Elrow from 6:30am on the same day (this is the morning afterparty at the same venue).

Firstly, Row14 is about 15 minutes outside of Barcelona and although their is a free coach collecting party-goers from Placa Catalunya (Hard Rock Cafe) they are always late so be prepared to wait around!! I think the buses are meant to be every 30 mins from midnight til about 4:30am but we had to wait an hour!

On arrival, there was no queue and the doorstaff were friendly. We were asked for ID despite being in our mid 20's (and looking it!) and I had to present the e-ticket and payment card. With a tribal theme, plenty of bars, ample outdoor seating areas and two decent arenas, this is well worth a visit and the sound system was very impressive.

Unfortunately, due to the language barrier, it was unclear whether there was more than one return coach back to Barca after the first event finished at 6am, so we had to give Tiga's afterparty a miss and get the bus back to Barcelona. There were more people waiting for the bus than would be able to board so there was a fairly mammoth stampede once the bus eventually arrived. However, earlier attempts at conversing with management meant that they were aware we were clueless tourists with no command of the local language, so they made a massive effort to give us priority on the coach, even pulling me from getting crushed in the crowd :-)

If you are genuinely into clubbing and House music, Row14 is an amazing venue with big names and quality music. It is difficult to get anywhere quickly or cheeply due to the location of Row14 - it was opened in 2008 as a purpose built venue to solve the problem of loud music and disruption with people in the city centre so it is very remote! However, if you are patient enough to hang around and can take a phrase book with you - this is well worth a visit!
