The most well known, although in my opinion not the prettiest of the villages in Sierra de Francia. We arrived in the afternoon, which was a mistake, as almost everything was closed up and deserted, but it was still interesting to wander round the old...More

We had heard of this village from a Spanish friend and it was on her advice that we travelled here from Salamanca. It was a worthwhile visit. You expect small villages to be whitewashed and propped on hillsides. This one is on a slight elevation...More

Lovely little town on the edge of mountains. Famous for its embutidos, jamones and so on. Had lunch, late september, still outside on the Plaza Mayor.

A trip to Medieval times! Old buildings still standing, very narrow streets and passageways and the town's main plaza is beautiful. A great place to sit at the outdoor cafe and take in the ambience!

This is a fun place to spend a night. We wandered about the village exploring for hours through the many very small lanes. It is very very picturesque and certainly the nicest of the villages in this area of Spain

Visited here twice. Town itself is small and is easily walkable. Type of place you could spend 30 minutes, or an entire day. Walking from one end to the other in town is about 10 minutes, however, experiencing all the small streets is where more...More
