I would definitely recommended visiting this place on a trip to Israel, since it is not only very important to Israeli-Jewish history, but it also fascinating to learn about how they built and maintained life in this mountaintop fortress. Remember to bring lots of water...More

A must see. 2000 years of juish history. I would recommend the ancient Roman ramp hike. On the East side you can comfortably reach the top with a gondola.

This ancient site is amazing and a must see. Take the cable car up and down. Remember the sunscreen and a hat. The history behind this place is so unique that books and movies were made about it.

I went by cable car and it was a decent ride up while taking in the views of the place. Walked along the site and hear stories by our guide... reminds me of the Dovekeepers. There is hardly shade around the place but the views...More
