We stopped here on our drive from Sibenik to Split with rain nearly all the way. Just 12 km N of Prozor Fortress, half along main rout #1 and the rest on a rural road passing farms with sheep and cattle, many of them roaming the highway. While our goal was these ruins, we also discovered the Cetina River Spring less than 500 m north. It has perfect blue-green water to a depth of 377’ and is one of 3 springs giving rise to the Percula Lake and the Cetina River.
It’s overlooked by a Serbian Orthodox church built in 1940.

Most magical and sacred place! Just a short visit but still nice to see in person an church from a 9th century.

An unscheduled visit on our route.
After the source of Cetina, we stopped in the cemetery of Cetina. (Crkva sv. Spasa)
A collection place that hides a ruined church. The mixture of the sun’s rays and the local stones gives magic to the site accompanied by donkeys behind the stone walls of the cemetery.
A hidden mystery that only needs to be discovered.
I highlight a recurring problem: the various wastes (plastics, cigarettes...) denature its places.
