So this is one of the up and coming spots to visit on a day trip from Split, and even farther. I am quite amazed at the stellar reviews here and on google maps. We arrived on a relatively sunny afternoon in April and there were tourists from all over the world(!) The water was pretty, but nothing like the photos. Check the photo I uploaded.

You can see seas and rivers with the same or more beautiful colours everywhere in the country. Pay attention how most of the photos take the bird view right above the source, this is NOT the view you will have. Flying a drone doesn't count lol. I believe you need to arrive earlier and when it's 100% sunny to see the colors you see on the photos. There isn't much to do there, you can walk a little around the source. The area isn't particularly pretty and the water is too cold for swimming.

I've been there last year. There were no other tourists and it's just a fascinating place. Just to sit there and enjoy the Beauty and silence. I absolutely recommend a visit, if you want to escape the typical touristic places :)

A wonderful hidden gem tucked away in rural Croatia, with absolutely beautiful turquoise waters. It’s said to be roughly 150m deep - you can swim here but the water is very cold so be careful. One of my highlights while in Croatia!

Little known natural attraction in the Dalmatian hinterland. In addition to nature, there are two beautiful churches, one of which is a Catholic from the 9th century with a recognizable Croatian plait, and above the spring is an Orthodox church.
On the way to the source of Glavas is the church of St. Spasa, one of the most important monuments from the early Middle Ages. It has its roots in the ninth century, from Prince Branimir, and is an example of a building with a facade facing west. It looks mystical and a bit scary, because it is surrounded by a cemetery and hides many secrets and controversies that are still going on today.
The source of the river Cetina, although it is more accurate to say the sources, because there are 11 of them, some of which spring only during heavy rains, is located in the village of the same name Cetina, a few kilometers from Vrlika.
It is also known as Milaševo vrelo or Glavaševo jezero or vrelo Cetine, and its measured depth is about 130 m, although it is mentioned that a Spanish research team measured a depth of as much as 180 m.
Cetina springs at an altitude of 385 meters, on the northwestern slopes of the Dinara
We arrived late so the summer of the spring could not be experienced, but in the evening you can see the beautiful colors and crystal clear water around 8 degrees

This should be one of the natural wonders of Croatia - a massive spring coming up from a depth of 125 meters - cleaner water you will not see in your life - it's like looking into clear air. The biggest spring I have ever seen feeds a lake 20km's long 500m wide & 65 meters deep - unbelievable !!! There is no entry charge or control at all over this natural wonder ? The river flows all the way to the coast at Omis & we swan in it many times on our travels to the coast - so freshing on hot days. A must see of you are in the area.

Amazing place, the colours of the spring are almost outworldly, especially in the right light. Don't go there too late because the sun-setting throws shadows on the spring.

THE PLACE IT’S AMAZINGGG! But the tourists doesn’t respect the locals. Have sing saying that it’s NOT ALLOWED TO SWIMMING!! and it’s because the locals drink the water and tourists doesn’t respect and swimming and leave trash around. What do you think if we go to your country and doesn’t respect your nature? This place need to be protect!!
