Good fun for a hour. They have COVID-19 messures and there is a one way route. The route is great with a good view to experience the ‘klamm’ and the storming water. The entree fee is low and there is a parking nearby.

We went to see Seisenberg Gorge in the town of Weissbach bei Lofer (in between Lofer and Zell am See) on a Sunday afternoon as a last minute decision.....and we were glad we went. We didn't really know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised.
Seisenberg Gorge (Seisenbergklamm in German) is the creation of water carving through the rock over the last 10,000 years, making it roughly 50-60 metres deep. It had been raining heavily for at least two days before we arrived and the water was quite high, fast flowing and fairly loud as it echoed off the gorge walls. A wooden walkway has been constructed through the entire gorge to allow you to physically walk through the depths above the rushing water. The walkways can be narrow in places and can get very wet so take care.
It only cost 3 Euros entrance fee and you should try to allow about 1 hour to an hour and a half to walk through it at a relaxed pace. We were on a tour and so didn't have too much time. We stopped to take photos and absorb the natural beauty of the gorge (the formations and waterfalls) and found we had to rush the last bit to because of lack of time, so please allow enough time. It's not that big but there is still enough to see.
You can follow the river further or take a right turn at a sign that directs you back to the town. With a whole afternoon you'll be able to explore more. At the entrance there is a place to get refreshments / food as well as WC facilities.
This is recommended for a great afternoon's walking.

We did this walk while staying in Zell Am See (about 30mins drive). Our visit was a rainy day, which I guess made the waterflow even more exciting. During some parts of the walk in the gorge, the sound of the water was deafening - the kids loved it! Most of the walk was along wooden bridges connected to the sides of the gorge walls. It was a really well maintained walk and relatively easy going. It took us about 45mins to walk up to a rest hut.
Everything is written in German and the people at the ticket office could not speak English. Also there didn't appear to be any maps available of the walk itself. So we really had no idea how far the walk was, we just walked until the rest hut, and then back down.
A great adventure!

We really enjoyed this visit. The walk through the gorge is just the right length (an hour or so) with plenty of photo opportunities. We visited this gorge on the same day as also visiting the Vorderkaser Gorge which was also very good and has some similarities to this one. If you only have time to do one I would recommend the Seisenberg Gorge which is less strenuous and has more "wow" factor. Both are included in the Zell am See Kaprun summer card and are only 15 minutes apart by car.

We hiked through the Seisenbergklamm. It is a beautiful gorge with a wooden path. It is quite breath taking. It costs €4.50 per adult to walk through. You can extend your hike at the end of the gorge.

This walk through the gorge is wonderful. The stairs are well maintained and the views are very cool. This is an easy, short walk, so it’s good for all ages.
For those wanting more, when you get to the top there are other trails you can continue up or for those wanting a different way down there is a trail down the hillside.

A joy for the whole family. My 4 and 6 year old were in awe. It was an easy walk, and it was cool out at the end of May.

When arriving at the cute little village at the Seisenbergklamm, you may not even think what a gorgous gorge is waiting for you, which you can climb without ropes, on a well paved route, possible to do even with small kids. It is a half-a-day program, so you can start it in the afternoon as well. Since there is usually only a flight of stair at a time, you don't even realise that you are making your way up. It is worth taking a tripod if you want to make good photos, since sometimes it is a bit darkish. At the end of the gorge, there are nice spots where you can go down in to the small river and spend some time playing with kids if the weather is hot. You can go further up and then to the right to go down on the side of the mountain, but it is much fun to walk down again in the gorge, seeing it from another angle. We saw some canyoning groups, which is also fun to watch - and plan to do it next year. It is really a gem in the area - and there are many to see there. At the entrance there is a small playground and a bare foot path and some water path to play with.

Tis gorge is amazing, the force of the water rushing through the gorge is breathtaking, if you visit during the summer the Sommercard provides you with free entry into the gorge. This is one natural attraction that you must see. The walking paths provide easy access.

A wonderful gorge with very well maintained walkways and staircases, even in narrow spaces people can walk through. I was expecting the stairs to be very hard on my knees but there were no extra long staircases, leveled out walkways between them gave my knees a rest. We also paused many times to take pictures of beautiful surroundings, waterfalls and rock formations. After we passed through the turnstile at the end, be turned right and followed a foot path going slightly uphill but
then about 15 minutes walk down the hill back to the parking lot, admiring the beautiful views of the Alps.

Sorry I made an error in the previous answer. We traveled to the Seisenbergklamm with a bus tour, parked in the main parking lot and were given 2 hours to spend there. It is a short distance to the Entrance, then we walked non stop for about 1 hour, slow relaxing walk, there were stairs but nothing overwhelming and there were leveled walkways in between stairs. We stopped and took many photos, it is a very picturesque area. I liked it much better than Vorderkasserklamm, which I found too strenuous and uninteresting.
Is deze te doen met een groep ouderen en kun je daar de touringcar parkeren

I would not recommend this for an elderly group. There are lots of steps and other uneven paths with tree roots showing. It’s great for active people but I would nit recommend for anyone with reduced mobility. If there was a fall then it would be very difficult to get back to the start.
There is good parking. I saw a coach parked in P3 near the hotel.

Dogs are allowed but some people had to resort to carrying them.
One dog was terrified in the caved area with a lot of noise from the water.
