A beautiful place totally smashed up by the retreating Germans. Rebuilt by the Soviets after WW2. The town has a pleasing scale and the water was 24C today so plenty of older swimmer. Plenty of boat trips.

So nice! We ended up going around sunset. The view from the top of the peak was unbelievable. I will say that getting up and down was a more difficult hike.

It is a small picturesq bay with restaurants, boat rides and short imbankment. I will definitely recommend a boat ride to take a look on the bay from the sea and to hear a little piece of history about the bay. It is very common...More

Now a pretty yacht haven with cafes and bars etc. However, you can see the legacy of the Soviet era with submarine pens in the hillside opposite. There are also many traders sellinf trinkets from that time.

No comparison! The bay is unique. Nature and the promenade built by British soldiers are so nice! An ancient ruin on the top. Fish restaurants! Boat cruises are somewhat boring to my mind.

It was highly interesting. A secret bunker for submarines built in the 50ies. It was one of the most secret places during cold war. I can recommend everyone who is interested in naval history to visit this place.
