We visited the place with Technological Educational Institute of Purgos for educational purposes. The place was very clean and the museum was awesome made at an ideal location, but the guide tour to the museum wasn't that good. That part certainly needs improvement. The exhibits were amazing and well positioned. I recommend it to you.

Anyone knows the Ancient Olympia and the museum BUT they are missing the real birthplace of Olympic Games! The ancient Elis!
In the museum you will find a lot of artifacts NEVER seen before!
It worths the time even if it looks small!

If you happen to be around Ilia you should visit this now well known museum which is located as people say at the birth place of the olympic games. You should walk around the archeological site and near by there is a lake that is worth visiting. You should combine your visit to this museum with a visit to the Ancient Olympia museum and have a whole picture about the history of the olympic games.
