We are lucky to have this treasure on our door steps. The museum and grounds are well looked after. The museum has new exhibitions on a regular basis so there is always something new to see. I never tire of experiencing the old streets and shops. The grounds provide excellent walks and picnic spaces.

Fantastic museum, really interesting exhibits on social history for the whole family. My two children 5 and 7 years old loved the galleries and especially the Victorian Street. There's a really lovely and reasonablely priced cafe and the kids loved the Victorian sweet shop. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We managed to spend 2 hours looking round which for the £15 admission is fantastic value. I would definitely recommend a visit to this fascinating museum.

Had a walk to here and walked down to the river. It’s a pleasant park. Lots of open space for a picnic, walk your dogs, play area and lovely walk along the River Tees. Didn’t go into the museum today.

We had a lovely visit here today. We arrived at 0940 and the car park was already chokka. The children had a play in the excellent play area before wet visited the butterfly world. Then we went back for more play, a walk around the grounds. A tour of the museum which is all about the Stockton area as well as the history of the hall and a picnic before heading off. The play areas are split into zones for different ages/abilities and they are all good. The skate park is excellent too.
