This winery has three hotel rooms and a restaurant. We stayed there for a stop in our trip from Sofia to Balaton. The reception was most welcoming and warm. The room was very OK, modern and had a view to the vineyard (€ 70 per night). The restaurant is open until 18.00 hrs, but the opening times were easily extended to 20.00 hrs, because we usually do not have dinner before 19.00 hrs. They serve three menus with wine pairing and are extremely flexible in changing the dishes between the menus to your likings. Flexibility and hospitality were anyway the key words during our entire stay. The lady of the hotel and restaurants speaks an extremely good English. For us it was a very nice, excellent stay.

Beautiful winery with breath taking views of the Šumadija. Their location is unique and the design of the building gives it a sense of privacy and seclusion.
Awesome experience. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. Highly recommended to make this one of your winery choices to visit.
Beautiful tasting room. Visited last year on a sunny afternoon with friends. Had some great time sipping Morava on the patio.

Despotika winery is a place where the sky begins. With a glass of your favorite wine (in my case, or Dokaz - Cabernet Sauvignon, or Morava the local origin grape), sitting in one of the comfortable chairs on the roof terrace, gaze at the sky, which starts right there, and enjoy the beautiful panorama of Sumadija. While listening to the silent song of birds, enjoy the aromas of wines that captivate the soul, receive harmony with these unique place ...
Congratulations to owners of this idyllic combination of nature and desire for perfection!

After visiting a variety of wineries in both Serbia over four days, we saved the best for last. This was the most pleasant and peaceful wine tasting experience! We had our tasting outdoors, where our host explained the history of the winery and wine region and gave us information on each wine. The wine is absolutely wonderful! We even joined the wine club before we left. We never felt rushed and even enjoyed a cheese plate while we took in the view. This is a reservation-only experience and it is one not to be missed!

This was the first and best winery we saw in the area. Despotika Winery and Restaurant makes for a great day trip for couples, family, and friendly get together. We loved the outdoor seating, and enjoying in the view over the mountains. The wines were simply wonderful (especially the Cab.). We also liked their Morava, and white blend called Dodir. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and the tour was an excellent, specially the winemaking museum which is really attraction.

A winery set in the countryside of Sumadija, 80 km from Belgrade.
Unique setting, buildings and wines. Gold medal wines are available for degustation and in a wine shop.
Enjoyed and bought several. Box wine available.
Also great attraction of this winery is a winemaking museum, which is so unique.
