Great place! Although not everything is finished yet (for example in spring there were almost no trees, but they were planting them). But! Service high, woman at the cash desk when saw us soming with a child explained everyhting at once - where is child changing room and other facilities. After the end of the visit we were given a free newspaper, where loads of information on the Zoo was stated, plans of the owner, explanations why and what they have already made.
Love this place.
Parking at the entrance is quite big, but sometimes still not enough - so many people are eager to come. Would be great is they will be able to make it bigger.

This is wonderful zoo! It`s brand new, so some works are still in progress, but it is very good place to see animals, especially taking into account that our Kiev Zoo has not very good repute because of several reasons. So, the better way to meet wild and not so wild animals is to go to the XII Months Zoo. There are bus stop in Kiev (subway station Heroyiv Dnipra) and schedule for coaches Kiev-Zoo-Kiev (one way ticket for coach #355 costs 17 hrn, ca. 0,7 euro, more information on their facebook page as site doesn`t have English translation). Trip by coach probably will take around 40 min. Last 2 km of the road near the Zoo is really test run for cars and nerves :) Car parking is good and large (and free). Animals live in good conditions, and it is possible to feed a lot of them (even bears, giraffe and rhinoceros) with special feeding purchased in the shop at the beginning of the zoo-route. There were free excursions around the zoo in the summer. All animals have open zone and “houses” for cold weather. Good café and WC in the “castle”. I was really happy visiting such a place.

This is a very new and well maintained zoo not too far away from Kyiv. A good collection of animals (including rare ones) who seem to be very well treated. The entry fee is not cheap but it is worth the money definitely. The surrounding premises are new and carefully managed. Recommended.

It took me a while to choose which zoo I would like to visit in Kiev with my 4 year old. After reading about Zoo 12 months I decided to give it a chance and we really enjoyed it. We went there in Monday, so it wasn't crowded at all. Everybody was really welcoming and friendly, many places to buy your child an ice-cream or water( even though it is overpriced) and the highlight was that we could buy food for the animals and feed them ourselves. I would definitely recommend this place. It isn't huge, but for a young child enough of animals and a swimming pool made our visit even better :)

Despite the fact that i really hate zoos (cant stand animals in cages), this one is the least of evil.
The cages are quite big, and there are plenty of quite rare species.
I would not recommend to come hereon the hot day as there is a lack of shadow.
This zoo is much better and cozy compared to Kiev zoo.

A great place for a family day out within easy reach of Kyiv. We got there by metro to Heroiv Dnipra and then marchrutka bus No 355, which took us straight to the entrance. The zoo is very clean, well-designed, beautifully landscaped and pleasant to walk around. The animals are in a good shape and kept in comfortable conditions. The staff were friendly and informative. We liked that we could buy food for animals and even managed to bond with some in the process. Big cats were magnificent. Information about enclosures was in Ukrainian and English, which was helpful. The petting zoo was smaller than expected but good fun. Swimming pool was definitely a bonus on a hot summer day. Overall, the place left a very good impression. The bus stop however could do with a bench.

It's not too big, but they have enough of different interesting animals. Everything there looks nice. Animals are well treated. It will be a great idea to spend a family weekend there.

At this zoo are any rare animals, such as: white tiger, white kangaroo, white rhinohorn, colored polar wolfs and links, hussar- monkey, binturong etc.
You can buy portion foodstuff and nourish one of them.
Entrance ticket ~ $ 6 for one day, photos are free.

This new private zoo was opened in the middle of May on an area of 16 ha in Demivid, Vyshgorod district, 40 km from Kiev and is a home now of around 100 animals - others as we have seen are expected to arrive since the home for the polar bears is already set up for instance. For a fee for 150 UAH per adult and 50 UAH per kid you can see there some exotic animals like white lions, white tiger, aardvark, interesting species of monkeys, etc. In the centre of the zoo is built a copy of the famous Neuschwanstein Castle with a Bavarian styled restaurant called «Ludwig King» and this makes the entire zoo look like a Disney entertainment park. We liked the zoo though it's still in the process of construction and not finished yet - I believe they will get more animals since the huge territory allows it. The cages/homes of the animals are clean though some are too small for their inhabitants, but it is obvious that the animals are well fed and taken care of. I would recommend visiting this place on a weekend with your kids for several hours.
