You will need the ticket to enter the Krka park to reach the Monastery, and to cope with a winding downhill. Unfortunately, ongoing maintenance works made the place not so quiet; still, the church is reach of history and if you are lucky someone will...More

We booked the 2 hour boat trip to the monastery. The boat trip was boring to be honest. The island on which the monastery was located was nice to see but not worth the trip and money. Last but not least - they sell the...More

The drive up to the Serbian monastery was more stunning than the monastery it self. In the country side you can see a lot of houses with bullets holes in the walls, abandoned after the war and occupation by the Serbs. So if give you...More

I visited the Krka Monastery (Holy Archangel) and it was an amazing experience. The monastery was built on top of an old Roman site, and Roman burial catacombs exist beneath a part of the church. It is the spiritual centre of the Serbian people in...More

The monastery is very old and it is an important piece of local culture and heritage, no argue with that. But the visit was somewhat underwhelming. We arrived by car but you can also take an organized boat trip from another location in Krka national...More

Knowing we wouldn't manage the Visovac boat and monastery trip due to timings, so decided to take ourselves off to this monastery, with no idea what to expect or whether it would be open to visitors. The signs are a bit confusing when you get...More

From majestic waterfalls, and lost cities, to mysterious landmarks and natural wnderers. Close to Roman military town Burnum and catacombs beneath the monastery reinforce this claim and suggest that the founders knew of this monastery, so that right there and found this holy place.
