Disapointed
Apr 2021 • Couples
Could be very impressive, but they have diverted the water down to a hydro power station.
A tiny trickle down the waterfall but the water appears out the power station at the bottom. Tourist attraction ruined.

Short, steep walk with amazing waterfalls
Aug 2020
This is a short walk (we did it with three small kids, 2, 5 and 8) in about one hour. It is steep up to the hermit’s cave but really easy to follow and the initial waterfall and later falls are so impressive. Don’t miss this - just down the road from the Crannog Centre. Don’t drive back towards Killin on this side of the Loch - the road is very narrow. Just go back to Kenmore and drive along the wider and faster road at the other side!

Nearly killed me but glad I went !

I am so unfit so don't be put off by that. I was the slowest as the teenagers ran up it! Quite hilly though you will need good footwear! And layers as you will be stripping off quite quickly. Lots of little surprises if you follow the signs. We nearly passed one and saw the most lovely viewing platform. Go into the cave aswell. Really awesome. Was a lovely experience with the husband and teenagers. I would do it again we just ran out of time.

Beautiful little walk
Mar 2020 • Couples
Beautiful view from the ‘hermit’s cave’ and lovely to get so close to the falls! A circular path around which is a bit steep in places but well worth it. There is loose gravel/rocks so good shoes are a must. We managed to get to the falls with snow starting to come down so it all looked rather magical. Happy that we found this place!

Nice little hike and great views!
Jan 2020 • Couples
A really nice walk with great views over the falls and fields nearby. Different little falls and the hermits cave. A little fitness advised as the hike up was not that easy.

Great walk - but some fitness advised!

Nice circular walk up to the falls with viewing platforms and a hermits cave on route. It’s a reasonably steep climb so definitely not for pushchairs. It’s advised dogs and small children are kept under close control due to steep gorge sides. It’s about a mile and a half circular walk and there’s a reasonable area for parking on western side of the river/falls where the falls are signposted from the road. We climbed further up along the long distance path to a stone circle making our walk about 3-3.5 miles

Well worth the visit

Great day we visited weather wise. Nice hike up to the hermits cave to which you access the viewing point of the beautiful falls then down through the woods at the opposite side. Beautiful scenery.

Spectacular views
Aug 2019 • Couples
We were driving along the South Loch Tay road and after going through Acharn saw signs for the Falls and a circular walk so stopped and went to have a look. When we reached the Hermits Cave and walked through and were confronted by the Falls we were amazed at how spectacular they were through the trees. They really do deserve to be much better known. The circular walk is around 3km and very pretty indeed. Very well worth a visit

Lovely waterfalls
May 2019 • Couples
A nice route to walk, to see some stunning waterfalls, definitely worth a visit. Straight forward signposted walk. Car parking available after passing through the village when travelling from Kenmore.

Great short walk
Apr 2019 • Couples
This is is nice short walk with great views. It is quiet steep but not too long and has interesting 'hermits cave' and viewing platform across the falls.
