Giant fossilised button mushrooms? If my kids had been younger and with us their theory would definitely have been dinosaur poos! Red rock coulee is fascinating. Getting up close and personal with geology is a favourite past time of mine and I've never seen anything...More

An amazing place for photography. Best time at sunrise or sunset at the golden hours for captures. If there was ever a Mars type of geographic features this is it. Be aware after a rain the area is very muddy and slippery!

This was my first visit to Red Rock Coulee, and was not disappointed. Just a short drive from Medicine Hat, it provides the opportunity for short hikes in the valley to view and photograph the boulder shaped sandstone concretions. An amazing natural place, particularly at...More

My friend took my son and I out to visit the Red Rock Coulee area...it was beautiful. Not far outside Medicine Hat, felt like Inwas on Mars! I highly recommend checking it out. Not to be missed!

Red Rock Coulee is one of those magical places. It is located just off of Highway 887 after a short drive up the hill. It is usually very quiet in regards to visitors. The quiet is astounding. When I visited in July I heard coyotes...More

This is an interesting place to stop and spend a couple of hours exploring. It looks a bit like a giant's curling game gone awry :-) I found it very interesting, and you can hike around at your own leisure. Beware, you are in rattle...More
