Odzaberd Fortress is an ancient Urartian fortress translated as the ``Serpent`s Fortress`` near Tsovinar and overlooking Lake Sevan. We trekked up to see it about recently during our time in the region as part of our drive around the Caucuses and it was quite rewarding. There are still parts of the city wall, gates and foundations to explore, the inscription by Rusa I is fantastic to see after all these hundreds of years and the setting is impressive. It is worth making the trek here and we would come back again.
