Just about any sort of foodstuff can be bought at the Preston Market. The market serves a diverse community, customers come from all over the world and the merchandise is equally diverse. The fruit and vegatables are tempting, and prices are very competitive.

This used to be an old bleak depressing place but since our last visit which admittedly is several years a vast improvement has taken place. This has been totally rebuilt in glass and is light, bright and has loads of fruit and veggie and bakery, fishmongers, butchers etc ...... just what a market should be including eateries and local beer and brewery merchants ...... it is artisan without looking artisan.
Very impressive.

Preston Market has a wide range of merchandise. Prices for fruit and vegetables are keen, and quality is good; you can pick your own produce. The butchers and seafood stalls have excellent produce at a bargain price. Most of the customers at Preston Market come from multi-cultural backgrounds that are accustomed to market shopping. Parking is usually accessible. Remember, the early bird gets the worm

Shoppers were lining up today to fill their bags with fruit and vegetables at bargain prices at the Preston Market today.. There's lots of competiton between stall-holders, everything from daikon radishes to fresh and juicy naval oranges are competively priced.. The meat and fish area was very popular, every sort of seafood you could desire. Apart from lining up to gain entry to .some areas, the market was overflowing, as usual; corona virus restrictions have had little effect.

Some of the freshest meat and vegetables that I have ever cooked with. A fair few eateries and occasional food truck gives you some variety.

Walked around the market to fill in some time and I could see some great veggies on offer.
Also a range of food - I had some chicken and wished I had not, the pizza slices would have been better.

So many fresh produce stalls, for your weekly shop. Specialty stores too, to delight the senses....and the taste buds. An assorrment of the best: Vinnies Pizza (amazing pizza but very affordable, as long as the Darebin Market rents don't keep going up), Publique french bakery and amazing coffee and the Sri Lankan for an amazing traditional curry meal.....just a few to tempt you. Great for a Saturday or Sunday morning brunch with the family.....humming with activity.

It's a perfect little community market for fresh vegetables, fruits and fresh meat.

There are other things you get in this market like handcrafted items, clothes etc.

Great place to be with friends or family with kids. You also get food and coffee. Such a place that adds value to a community.
