Good cinema, bad manager
Feb 2020 • Friends
Although the tickets are a little overpriced, I do enjoy the theatre at Northlands as it's comfortable and clean. However, I had a negative experience with who I believe was the manager. I had a little trouble on the new ticket self checkouts and I asked one of the employees for help. It was quieter day so there wasn't much else going on. The manager, her name started with AD I think, was incredibly rude and demeaning to the employee directly in front of me. Thinking this was a one off and she was having a bad day, I forgot about it until I returned a week or so later. The same woman was there, once again treating the employees absolutely horribly in front of the customers. If that's how she talks to them in public, I hate to see how she talks to them behind the scenes. I used to work in retail, I know how stressful it can be and how unprofessional it is to lose your temper so easily.

My husband and I love the pictures, we had a stay in Melbourne, and went to northlands hoyts, great comfy reclining seats. We watched bohemian rhapsody, the sound was amazing. Highly recommend a night or day out at this place, you can take your own food inside and have an ale from there selection. Great day thank you

Comfortable cinemas but so expensive!
Nov 2018 • Couples
A late review from November 2018

We saw Halloween H20 here and while the cinemas are incredibly comfortable, it is just way too expensive for what it is and do not even mention the price on food, drinks and lollies.

Reading Cinemas in Epping offer $11 tickets compared with Hoyts at $19 per ticket.

The cinemas are great, they have comfortable reclining chairs!

The price is almost highway robbery though, $38 for a movie for 2 then some outrageously expensive snacks!

Hoyts while there brand is good and the cinemas offer a good experience I find them to be well overpriced.

Around the corner at Epping Reading Cinemas you will pay $11 for a movie ticket and while I'll admit they are not as comfortable as Hoyts Northland, it certainly gives value you for money.

Not priced for the average family.
