I would suggest if you don't have a car rent one in Boquete or take a taxi on pricing before going to pay too much for a tour as this is a very easy place to get to and cost effective without wasting money on a tour. No toilets are available nor any shops to purchase any refreshments. Take along a coolerbox with loads of ice, easy food to eat and sunscreen a must, there is shade available as it gets very hot. The cost is $2 per vehicle on most days. The area can get busy and try go during the week when it is quieter. It is pet friendly and you can bring your dog along.

Excellent spot to spend an afternoon! We drove there from Boquete approx 30 minutes. A car pays 2$ for the day to enter. Totally worth it. Clean, fun lots of locals but no washrooms. One of the best days spent in and around Boquete.

We extended our stay in Boquete to take our 6 year old to Los Cangilones but found it very underwhelming and not worth the effort. The water, contrary to reviews, was quite dirty with an obvious film of oil on top. It was murky and smelled somewhat fishy. We jumped off the slimy rocks but it felt like leaping into the void of a very deep oil barrel. We went on a Monday and the site was still quite dirty from the weekend. Most of the garbage was gone, but it was just a bit yuck. Like shower ASAP. So maybe it was just a bad day in dry season, but i wouldn’t bother going again to find out. Wish we’d driven further to the coast instead. Needless to say our 6 year old loved it. Tadpoles. Fish. Joy.

Los Cangilones is a must-see. Firstly, just as a structure it's amazing to see how the water has carved out the rock. Secondly, the water is absolutely perfect temperature. I've never been more comfortable. It's so much fun to jump in and swim around. The one thing I did not enjoy was that when I was there, a group of locals was washing their hair in the water. That is the best way to destroy a water ecosystem

Jumping off the cliffs, swimming through the channel and jumping again and again. We all had a great time! Super way to cool off!
