- Shane GeldenhuysStellenbosch, South Africa5 contributionsA Must have experience! We went for a Game Drive on Friday the 5th of Jan 2024. Such a cool experience and ended it of with a nice wine tasting. Never knew their were Game Drive options in Stellenbosch. Will definitely recommend doing this! Perfect for friends, great as a couple experience. Big thanks to Daniel for the informative tour and the great wines. See you all soon!Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 8, 2024

Was surprised at the quality of the game drive given the price. Saw giraffes, lots of zebra, antelopes and tour guide was really knowledgeable.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 28, 2024
- ramblingman46Manchester, United Kingdom88 contributionsGreat game-driveVisited at Saturday 9am for the 2-hour game drive. We were staying in Franschhoek village and it took about 30 minutes to get there in the car. You drive through the vineyards to get to the reserve. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. You can see a lot of animals close up in the reserve. We saw Giraffes, Zebras, Waterbuck, Bush Pig, Eland, Springbok and many other animals. I'd highly recommend this game-drive. It cost r350 for an adult and r175 for a child. It also included a welcome glass of cap classique and wine tasting at the end. You can get cheese and charcuterie platters to go with the wine tasting.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 11, 2024
- Not the Domestic GoddessSomerset West, South Africa1 contributionMagnificent humans, animals and bubblesWe arrived to a mysterious misty Villiera wine farm on a cool Saturday morning. We were greeted by warm hosts with bubbles and then wrapped in blankets to find the animals hiding in the mist. The animals were wonderful but what really made this experience stand out was our game ranger, Guillaume. What an interesting man he is. He entertained us with stories, theories, facts and humour. This man was so enchanting that we felt like booking another game drive just to engage with him some more. Guillaume also led us through the wine tasting (the bubbles are delish) to end a wonderful, memorable morning of making memories together with our family and friends.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 22, 2024

Our little one is nearly 3 which is too young for a proper game in the kruger but he loves giraffes and we wanted to give him a taste for it. We did the 2 hour game drive followed by wine tasting and it was excellent. The driver Guilleum was great and very knowledgeable and we saw: eland, wilderbest, spring bok , fish eagles and giraffes. This was rounded off by some excellent villeria wines. Highly recommended for families with young kids. They also suggested a place for lunch Joostenberg Bistro just down the road for lunch. Topclass.

We visited Villiera today for a game drive and we were blown away by the experience. Our tour guide, named Guillaume, was excellent, knowledgeable, and passionate. I need the vitamins he takes as his energy is incredibly contagious. Some people asked questions about bird species and other animals not on the farm, and he explained everything in detail. Guillaume is an asset to Villiera's game drive and I would reccomend it any day! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.
Kind regards, Arno

A quick pit-stop en route to our next stay. Lovely, small vineyard with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worked through a number of wines with great descriptions. Well worth a visit.

I visited here as part of a wine flies tour. Nice vineyard, with a glimpse behind the scenes. Known for their sparkling wines, we enjoyed several samples and some biltong under the large majestic oak trees.

The Villiera Wines was recommended to us as we had friends from the US visiting. We were very impressed not only with their outstanding wine tasting but their game drive was an absolute treat. The game ranger, Guilamme is passionate about what he does and his anecdotes were filled with his wit and humour as he took us on a 2.5hr game drive. The cost of this will blow you out of the water. Nathan Jonkers took us on a cellar tour and as a young winemaker, he was impressive, to say but the least. I can recommend this highly.
