Maybe my timing was not correct, we came to see chambery in summer time. The old city looked bored and sleepy not like some amazing towns nearby as annecy and chamonix. Maybe in winter it gets better.

Pretty much walking around here was the best part of the trip. Walking through the narrow streets and looking at the old buildings and houses. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner. And quite a few shops too.

The walk around the old ville is an enlightening step into the past, with the shops and old buildings and architecture. The narrow laneways and tunnel between courtyards is very fun and doesnt cost you anything. Many nice shops to get soemthing to eat or...More

Hi, yes there is a Mercure Chambéry Centre Hotel. It’s very close to Gare de Chambéry Charles-les-eaux and also it’s close to ville ancienne. Have a nice trip
