Great activity (if you don't mind the crowd), after a 30 min walk (would be 15 if it wasn't fort that said crowd) you get to the top of a hill, accompanied by lovely guides who will happily tell everything they know about reindeers and...More

The Reindeer Centre is worth a visit but it wont take you long maybe 30 minutes if you have kids with you otherwise probably about 10 minutes max. The main attraction is going up the hill to hand feed the very tame reindeer. My kids...More

Thanks for your review, and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to the reindeer. Just to clarify timings for the benefit of anyone else reading this - the reference to visiting the Reindeer Centre is refering to the Paddocks only - but the Hill Trip...More

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff took us on a journey from the paddocks right up to the enclosure. The reindeer walked right up to us and we could feed them all by hand. A fantastic experience!

If you're going to Aviemore I would definitely recommend booking yourself to see the reindeers. While you have to walk, the terrain (on the day we went in February) was reasonably flat and dry. The staff that lead you out to the herd are superb...More

We decided to go on the paddocks tour despite thinking it was going to be a tourist trap just to guarantee that we would see reindeer. It wasn't a trap at all and while it costs 28 pounds you get over an hour to look,...More

My wife and I took the tour to visit a wild, free ranging reindeer herd. Our guides led us across a mountain trail and down the hillside to find and meet the herd of 67. The herd circled our group as our guides broke out...More

We took the funicular to the top of the Cairngorms and as we descended the driver pointed out some wild reindeer. As we approached our car we saw them drop into the tiny stream area so we went to the lower car park. Initially we...More

Thanks for your review, although it seems a bit of a strange decision to leave us a review when you didn't actually visit our Centre at all. The reindeer you saw were some of the females in our herd, who are free-ranging just now on...More

This is a really enjoyable experience. Being able to hand feed and stroke the reindeers on the hill is unforgettable. The walk up to see them is fairly easy and very scenic. All the staff are super friendly and so knowledgable and caring about the...More
