    Quiet and peaceful beach
Agonda, situated within the Canacona region of South Goa district, India, is renowned for its serene beach. This hidden gem offers a pristine getaway. The sand is clean, the beach is unspoiled, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. There are no crowds, no motorboats, and no fuel smells—just the pure beauty of nature amidst a palm forest.

Don't miss it, but don't spoil it!
Actually our favourite Goan beach! It is clean and the water is clear. There are some fantastic bars and restaurants (shout out to Saxony!!), but certainly at the time of our visit it was so relaxed and free from the heinous touristic shops and sellers that many other parts along this coastline have. Family friendly, everything walkable, relaxed and incredible sunsets 😀

Lovely beach but stray dogs are a growing problem
Spent a month at Agonda Beach and generally had a great time. Beach is lovely and clean with no annoying beach sellers like at Arambol. Restaurants & accommodation are good but there is a real problem with the growing number of packs of stray dogs living on the beach. I counted 76 walking from one end of the beach to the other and that's just the ones I saw. The dogs are fine most of the time but can become very aggressive when acting as a pack. You will see the locals carrying a stick when on the beach to defend themselves from aggressive dogs. I saw many dog attacks whilst there, including my wife who got bitten and had to have rabies jabs. It's a problem that is only going to get worse if something isn't done to reduce dog numbers. The local animal charity is doing some sterilisation out of season but more needs to be done before someone is seriously injured.

    Agonda beach
Agonda beach is in South Goa, with multiple shacks and small eatries on the beach. A long and deep beach, clean and not overly commercial. One can tale a boat and visit other small beaches like butterfly and honeymoon beach from here. Dolphin sighting can also be undertaken by a small boat ride from the beach.

    Not so crowded Agonda
You come to Goa and want to find some not so crowded beach, Agonda is what I suggest. Less people, great restaurants yeah but a bit more animals. Anyway swimming was just amazing. Cannot wait to come back after my Nepal trip here.

Great tuk tuk driver on Agonda Beach
I’m writing a review about Vishwa the rickshaw driver at Agonda Beach. What a great guy with reasonable prices. If looking for a reliable tuk tuk driver to show you t around here’s his number +91 90497 50462. I would simply WhatsApp and he’d be there within 10 minutes or send a friend.

Beautiful quiet beach in south Goa
A beautiful quiet beach in south Goa. The long beach is fronted by many cafes and accommodation. However due to turtle nesting sites, the beach is free of sun loungers and shacks. Lovely sea with options for swimming and kayaking and also boat trips available to nearby beaches. This is the place to be if you want to escape the hustle.

    Serene and calm ... picturesque
Very nice beach. Smaller and less populated than Palolem. Natural beauty is great with rocks on one side and beach on the other. There are lots of places to play around and have a bath. Morning boat rides are also available.

    Beauty at its best
Certainly most beautiful beach in Goa.it is located around 47km from Madgaon rail junction in south Goa. You can reach there by gov control taxi or by hired cars. This is most silent beach in Goa and really feel like walking on foreign beaches as it has attracted lot of overseas travellers.lot of home stay and food options available. Highly recommenced over north Goa beaches ,if you want to explore morning yoga session and in search of inner peace .

    Best beach in South Goa
This is probably the best beach in South Goa. It's more preferred by foreigners than local tourists. Though a bit costly as compared to Palolem, it's totally worth it. The overall vibe of Agonda beach is very friendly and chill. Budget Stay 1) Cupid Heaven and Dalia Guest House (both opposite each other) Budget Food 1) Exotica - 99Rs. fixed veg thali (one end of Agonda), Beer also cheaper than other places 2) Other end of Agonda as soon as one cross the river at the junction you will get fresh fish (caught from the river itself daily) in the local hotel at reasonable prize (Bargain to get a good deal)

Agonda Cottages; beware of putting a deposit on a cottage with this group. We couldn't travel in January due to travel restrictions and they did not allow us to rebook - having assured us when we paid £300UK each in December that we could rebook until May 2022. John cited business expenses. Dodgy guy!!

Agonda is certainly gorgeous. It has a largely deserted beach, a sea that is memorable, but be careful waves and the undertow are quite strong, but, as you are careful that this is not) and a sufficiency of café's and restaurants – though the hotel itself produces very good food at reasonable prices, and for our part, we only ever ate in the hotel. And the usual array of shops.

The best things about the property are the location – right on the beach of one of the nicest beaches in Goa – couldn't be better located. And the dining/bar area is a very pleasant, overlooking the sea and right on the beach. The food is pretty good too, and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating.

The rooms though are mostly small and ill furnished, aalthough some describe themselves as partial sea facing they are barely that. The “basic” rooms are just that, and avoid rooms, 107 and 108 at all costs – maybe others as well. These rooms are next to the road, which is lit brightly, and there are no curtains to speak up, so if you are sensitive about light, sleep becomes very difficult. The rooms are Pokey and have very little furniture - though to be fair, they do have several electric points. We also had room 117, which was more or less sea facing (it faced te sea, but a little way back) and that was significantly better, though still very sparsely furnished. Do not be tempted to go for one of the basic rooms. They are just not worth it.

Agonda beach is beautiful and hasn’t fallen foul of too much development. It’s about 2km long but, even though there are plenty of people around, it never feels crowded. It is cleaned daily by a small team of local people. This is a great initiative as many beaches along this coast are ruined by the amount of plastic and general debris that’s washed up onto the sand.
The water is lovely to swim in, although occasionally the waves can be strong, so beware.
At the back of the beach are several really good beach huts, cafés and restaurants, and behind them a road with many more shops, cafés and more rooms for hire. Our favourite beach!

An absolute bliss when you are in Goa. Exact 1.5 hours from Goa Airport and taxi would cost you around 1900 for AC and 1800 for Non AC.

This beach is so nice that you will fall in love at first sight. There are several beach huts along the beach with sea view villas, cottages and shacks. You will not find lot of people, quite secluded and pristine. I loved the waters, they were so clean that I could even spot fishes and crabs. You can watch beautiful sunset from the beach.

A good walk of around 2 kms from one end to the other. Something to be noted is about the stray dogs, you will find lots of them on the beach.

This beach is clean with hotels, resorts and huts. It is very peaceful and less crowded. But there are many stay options. Palolem is better than agonda, which I like the most. But if someone wants more peaceful and less crowded, then they can stay here. We ate our breakfast there in local road side restaurant.

Hi, I visited this beach with my family for almost a week. The beach is very scenic with hills at both the ends and also a river backwaters. It has a lot of restaurants and shacks with om sai beach huts and its sea breeze restaurant standing out amongst all. Great place to spend a relaxing day hereat Shonda beach in South Goa.

Wow, what a place!! It's so quiet and serene.

They work so hard to keep the beach clean, with combers every day clearing any waste.

Loungers are not permitted unless in grounds of properties.

Although we were told the beach was 'busy' compared to a few years ago, we found it very quiet, not a lot of people and not commercialised at all, just how we like it.

Would love to return here again in future

Very much unlike North Goa; Agonda is very silent and chill. If you ever wanted to sit alone on a beach at midnight immerse into the feeling; this is the place. There’s a lot of restobars and huts on the beach. So finding accommodation is not an issue
