San Michele church was anchoring and fell into disrepair. You can see the potential and the altar is not to bad condition.

I was alone in the church. I felt like I was alone in the whole world. A precious memory. September 2022.

This is a lovely 15th century church in the charming hilltop town of Savoca.
It is currently being restored & is worth a walk to have a look at it.

This small 15th century church is slowly being restored. Please take some time to seek out this lovely spot & admire its treasures.

They were charging a small admission fee when I went - be as generous as you can, these older sanctuaries need our collective support & protection.

A little walk from Savoca village center was this old little church which was partially in ruins. Paid a euro to go inside, certainly worth a look. Good view of the town below outside the church. Path up a bit steep, but certainly worth the effort for me.

When in Savoca, seek out this little church. It has plenty of old things to see inside and you can just feel how old it is and marvel at the work being done to restore it. Brilliant.

Its a nice little hike up to see this church and it looks like it hasn't been changed much for centuries. Worth checking out.

Small church not in the best shape, with renovations needed. Didn't go inside because it seemed a bit not too suitable for visitors. Nice, quite old architecture.

This beautiful small church was the movie scene of the Godfather movie.
Savoca is a stunning historical small town with its Sicilian beauty.
This church is a must, if you are in Savoca!
