We visited Piemonte and La Morra for the first, but not the last time. We visited 3 wineries during our stay. The 2 largest and most famous wineries charged a fee for the tasting, which Fratelli Ravello did not, and we found the visit at Fratelli Ravello by far to be the most catching. We could taste the single vinyards wines and two vintages up against each other for comparison. The wines are very good and reasonably priced. We strongly recommend Fratelli Ravello.

We. Came to Piedmonte to try the wines and had four tastings over 3 days. The last was the best. The daughter of the family vineyard owner and wine maker, Eleana, was wonderful. She was so connected to the wine and the vineyards and the work needed to produce the wine we could sense her dedication. She opened several of the wines from the vineyards we we looking down at from the deck and glass enclosed tasting room. The wines were complex but not the tight tannic versions from the Serralunge region of Peidemonte. It is a must for tasting in the area.

This was the second visit here. The first was just for wine tasting. This time we stayed in their farm resort B and B. Beautiful location part way up the La Morra hill, amid vineyards and with great views. Very friendly hosts (two brothers and their wives). Wine is excellent Barolo. Room was very comfortable. Italian coffee machine in common room available all day, no charge. Breakfast excellent. They went out of their way to be helpful. We will stay here again.
