We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this place. We learned a bit about their wine production which was very interesting and had an amazing lunch with wonderful wines. This was one of the high points of our trip around Piedmont and I would definitely recommend going. The views are also really nice from the property.

We visited Barola yesterday and decided having had a good look around to have lunch in La Morra
We literally stumbled into this place and how lucky was that
On entering the lady explained that they were not a ordinary restaurant but rather a wine tasting experience with food
We were shown up to the tasting room which had the most incredible view of the surrounding countryside
We choose the four course option which was 20 euros and consisted of four small plates with wine and brilliant explanation
The food was fresh and delicious the wine gorgeous and the explanation professional knowledgeable and friendly
We finished with expresso and liquor and bought some good wine
Thank you Marrone we felt lucky to have wandered in hope you enjoy your holiday time
We will return next year

A fourth generation ran winery and this one is all female. The three daughters run the family business taking it over from their mother or I should say in conjunction with their mother. They bring new expertise and enthusiasm to the business. Our wine waitress while not one of the daughters informed us that it's all female -- the staff, the cats and dogs. We popped in without a reservation (we are the fly by the seat of our pants type travelers) and although they were packed with middle to large tour groups they were more than happy to accommodate us. We tasted a number of their wines (and they prove you with a full glass) all wonderful and well presented by the middle sister real pride in ownership. Prices of the wine vary but reasonable. A beautiful cellar to enjoy wine, they serve food and from the full tasting (reservation experience) appears to be worth your time -- they pair their wines with their food.

We arrived on a Saturday in March. The woman who ran our tour was pleasant and informative. When you arrive, you are taken to the roof for a spectacular view of the region and a description of Barolo and it's history. That was quite a highlight of the tour. Afterwards, some of their wines are described in more detail, and you can select those you'd like to taste. There was a large party during our visit, so instead of a normal 2 hours, the tasting took 4 hours. We felt the large party was significantly more interesting than our party. And they seemed to be understaffed.Their Pitchemej Barolo is well structured, quite impressive, and their Favorita quite excellent and a good value. I wasn't particularly impressed with the variety of other wines we tasted. Some of them didn't have the structure or complexity I would expect. Overall a good experience, but much more commercialized than many other wineries we toured during our stay. If you decide to visit, I would suggest a weekday.

My wife and I visited the winery last week, in August, for a 7-course tasting, with the last (main) course for one of us substituted with grilled selection (for an extra 10 EUR). Our visit was at noon, which I think is the perfect time of the day to do it, and it lasted about 3 hours (at least). We were served 8 wines. This ends the informative section.
Now to the superlative section - I read the other 5-star reviews, and frankly, there's very little I can add to what was already said, except maybe put even more exclamation signs in my review, to beat the others :) - this place is amazing! The views are stunning! The wines are some of the best in the world! We expected this visit to be nice, but it easily surpassed our expectations. Go and enjoy, don't miss it! Two bits no one mentioned - (1) It is a UNESCO heritage site, for a very good reason :) (2) From the terrace you will notice a magnificent Cedar of Lebanon on a hill opposite the winery, it is I think unique in its size and beauty in Italy, outside of botanical gardens. Ask your waiter about it. Overall, a very excellent experience, as kids would say :) !

Fantastic panoramic views from top floor! Laura, our hostess, spoke very good English and did a nice job of explaining the wine production as well as the wines we tasted. Ask for her if you need your tour of the winery to be in English.
Wines were excellent!
Also important - this was one of the few wineries in the area that was open during the August vacation period.

Took a wine tour to Barolo which brought us to this winery. Sitting a top of a hill, it has a spectacular view. Our guide did a superb job of explaining the multi-generation family owned winery. After showing us the winery, we were allowed to taste a wide variety of different wines. In addition, we ate lunch there and the food was every bit as good as the wine.

We had high hopes given great online reviews and this experience still managed to top it! We ordered 5 wine tasting and were greeted by a tour of the winery, with lovely lesson on their wines and family history. We then proceeded to wine tasting with 'snacks' - a full on lunch and dinner combined! Honestly, come hungry and don't plan on other food in the evening ;) Everything was delicious, wines were progressively more complex in flavour so you got time to adjust your palate. The trip was great value for money and the location is superb, perfect Piedmontese wineyard experience

We visited on a clear crisp winters Saturday. Book in advance as even at this time of year they are busy. The offer a range of tasting options we chose the option with 4 wines and 4 foods/snacks. Per person 19 euro.

We were greeted by our friendly host who showed us around the cellar and introduced the wines. Great atmosphere among the huge barrels.

We were then lead to the roof where we had panoramic views of the surrounding towns. Absolutely stunning.

We were then taken to the beautiful tasting room with terracotta floors, wooden tables and again the moat amazing views out of huge glass windows. We were brought generous tastings of 4 wines. A white, red blend, Barolo and Muscat. Each accompanied by some food. Tamatoe bruschetta, cold cuts, cheese then to top it off a delicious slice of apple pie! One of the owners poured our wine and explained each briefly. She also let us taste two more reds which were amazing.

We loved the relaxed laid back afternoon we spent here with no one rushing us. The service was impeccable and I would say the type of tasting made it one of the best we have had in Italy. Highly recommended!
