building very run down and ice awful condition with big holes
Aug 2014 • Family
the condition of the ice is dangerous. big holes in the ice, when I'm skating as a novice and with my 3 young children who are also beginner skaters it is extremely dangerous having holes in the ice which the skates can get caught on.

we have been several times during 2014 and the place is not improving, i would say it is getting worse. the last visit we stayed 30 minutes before leaving due to the holes in the ice and the really uncomfy hire skates. we have vowed never to return here again now. waste money as the outing is not pleasurable.

the building is in really bad condition too, the bar area/function room upstairs looks better but its not open for normal use during the day.

Small but nice
Aug 2014
Although only a small rink the ice was lovely to skate on. Went near the end of the session and the ice was free from chunks. Spectators also get a free hot drink, which is a nice touch.

UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL!
Aug 2014 • Family
There was a fair amount of people in the queue. BUT THERE WERE NO STAFF AT THE DESK TO SERVE US! Bet they were all too busy eating donuts and chatting about x factor. What morons! Anyway, I was utterly horrified when we got our ice skates, as they treated our shoes like a pile of trash! As we put on our skates, my son complained that he wanted a plastic animal to ride on. As we walked back to the reception we nearly broke and bruised our necks as the floor was EXTREMELY slippery with no warning sign. When we asked for a plastic animal, I was shocked when i paid them my hard earned income support money for a plastic penguin. I specifically told them that I had a fear of penguins and requested that they brought me out a chicken instead. I was utterly terrified and disappointed when they brought out a penguin instead! They had no sympathy and I shuddered in fear, all they said was "We only have penguins available" What happened to the term 'customer is always right'!
PREPOSTEROUS!!! the doctors have now upped my dose of STRONG anti-depressants
after this HORRIFIC ordeal and the fear that those blasted plastic penguins are watching my every move. That is all...

Jubilee Ice Arena in Cleveleys ( was Sub Zero )
Jul 2014 • Family
This Ice Arena was called Subzero and is now known as the Jubilee Ice Arena ( http://www.jubilee-ice-arena.com )

We had a great time with the children and they seem to put a lot of offers on the Facebook page and on Deal Monster. GOOD FUN!

No complaints
We'd booked to visit through a website deal giving entry, skate hire for 4 and 4 hot dogs for about a fiver each. It was quiet difficult to find the public skating times on the website as the rink has changed names but once we were in no complaints, we we're attended to quickly, the rink was nicely busy but not packed and an hour and a half session is plenty of time. The cafe is a bit grotty looking but the service was pleasant and the hotdog was nice enough. Would go back.
