One of only 2 in the world, the cathedral is built inside a working salt mine. The architecture and art is unique and simply beautiful. The colorful light adds to the beauty. There is only one way in and out so this should be considered...More

The cathedral itself is interesting, and offers an intriguing tour through a former mine. The site is wheelchair accessible, but poorly illuminated, so be careful with young children or people with removed mobility. The audioguide tour (free), unfortunately contains few relevant facts and will mostly...More

Wamted to see this salt church as I had read several articles in travel magazines about it. Took uber from Bogota which costs about $40 roundtrip. Admission for a non-Columbian adult was 55,000 COP or about $18 USD. There are no discounts for senior citizens...More

It should be easy... the tunnels are high ceilings and all of them are inclined. I don't actually remember any stairs, except from parking up to the entrance. If you have little ones, take a blanket and light jackets.
