The guides here don’t care about the groups and explain hardly anything. It’s pretty average and the Russian tourists are really loud and pushy.

Really not much to see here, but if you aren’t planning on going to the Prometheus caves, head here. You’ll get access to a small cave as well as see the dinosaur footprints. Some nice views from the observation deck.

After Prometheus, this was just OK. It is still great, but lacks the wow factor. The walk to the panorama is not worth it since the glass floor is so scrapped that you don't see anything through it. Since I don't care about dinosaurs, it...More

except for the cave those dino's were practically non existant. Entrance fee is too high compared to other sightseeings. Toilet was a sewer, staff (with 1 exception) mainly rude.

Spent some days in Kutaisi and the surrounding. We visited first the Prometheus cave. After seeing this cave, sataplia is more a kind of junior cave. Not so big, less nice formations. And the tracks of the dinosaurs are nice to see, but not so...More

Very interesting, marvelous, impressive both of them, the dinosaures's park and the cave. You can see dinosaures's footprints and fossil in a close area, dinosaures's simulations outside in a perfect nature park, and stalactites and stalagmites in an impressive cave. It is accessible and easy to...More

Even in the depths of winter, the views from Sataplia were breathtaking, I can only imagine what it will be like the rest of the year.

Sataplia is a rather small cave located in Tskaltubo, Georgia. It is famous for fine speleothems and the dinosaur footprints nearby. The tour enters the through-cave on one hillside, crosses the hill underground and then goes back on the surface past the dinosaur footprint. This...More

Booked via the tourist info office as part of a tour (your entrance fees are dramatically cut if you do it this way). The park guide tried hard to give info in English. The dinosaur footprints were cool - the Jurassic coast in England could...More

Hi Azza, As Mr. George said, it will take more than an hour, but inside the cave it wont consume that much time. Kids will definitely enjoy Sataplia. It was pretty cold inside the cave while I visited. Colder than outside... More
