A place dedicated to good wine in the old city center of Kutaisi, it is the place we came back (and would definitely choose it again) because of the friendly environment, very nice personnel, good food and, most important, a big variety of wines: you can start with a tasting, enjoying afterwards a table wine and also to buy one.
Special thanks to the working guys for the great experience! :)

I visited this bar not for the first time - usually, I'm there every time I am in Kutaisi. But yesterday the bartenders were especially attentive to us, and the piano lady played just awesome. We even sang along (maybe it was wine, too) :))

The amount of interesting wines there is overwhelming. Besides the famous ones such as Baia's or Guniava's one can get a lot of smaller local producers. Dooozens of awesome Tsolikouris!

I shall be back soon to taste more.

Came here with a friend to taste some wine and what a good time that we had. The guys working there are super cool have great English and are happy for you to try almost wines. We tried 3 wines and some local sprit all for free. But we did buy a bottle of wine after I think it’s a must for the service that you get. You can either drink there or take the bottle away with you.
Georgia has such a vast history of wine and it would be disappointing if you didn’t get the chance to try a few quality wines. They specialise in small batch wine working with local producers rather than big companies which I thought was a nice touch.

We happened on this cellar and had the best evening possible. Local talent performing throughout the evening. Memorable in every way possible...

Oh did I mention the wine??? The wine is wonderful (understatement of the day). This is a place I wish we had at home.....

We visited on an afternoon after reading good reviews on trip advisor.

We were the only visitors and the owner immediately greeted us and explained the great variety of Georgian wines in perfect English.

She offered us samples of some of the wines and a shot of Chacha the local 52% spirit! She also showed us a traditional wine press and they have paintings on the wall that explain the Georgian alphabet.

We left with a box of traditional tea and a bottle of local wine at a very reasonable price.

You can also visit for a glass of wine and some snacks. I would love to go back in the evening for a drink. It is open until 23:30.

I visited Satsnakheli after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor and from having a recommendation from my hotels manager in Kutaisi. When I arrived I was amazed by the sheer selection of wines on display and all of them are made locally, by the family that run the wine cellar. I sampled several different red wines to find one suitable for me and the tastes and smells of each individual wine were so different and interesting. I settled on a fruity wine and accompanied it with a cheese board. When the cheese board came to me it was a huge selection from cheddars to smoked applewood. The lovely owner also gave me a shot of vodka, locally known as ‘JaJa’ which is 57% alcohol. Even though it was too strong for me it was a great experience to try it. I cannot day enough how amazing the service was here and the lovely family who run and own the wine gallery are so incredibly welcoming, kind and lovely. If I ever come back to Kutaisi I will surely visit again. Thank you so much!

We just arrived in Georgia and it was our first wine tasting experience here. It was the perfect place for us! (Don't be shy and push the closed door downstairs). We were warmly welcomed by a nice woman who explained the different kind of grapes and wine regions in Georgia. She first served us the local "chacha" (strong, like vodka) and then walk us through different wine tastings. All that for free!!! We will certainly come back for a glass of wine and the live music (piano) that goes on every night at 8:00 PM. We definitely recommend it!!!

We stumbled across this wine cellar to be greeted by the extremely friendly hosts. They gave us an amazingly detailed review of Georgian wine and chacha, even going so far as to show us how chacha is made! We drank our wine and shared chacha with the friendly locals and owner. I really cannot recommend this gem highly enough. The wine consultants even tried to teach us a few Georgian phrases, laughing at us when we failed but continuing with us until we had mastered them. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful part of Kutaisi.
