The Fortress itself is very nice. The walls are mostly ruined and in the middle of the Fortress there are ruins of a small church. Located on the top of the hill, the Fortress is perfect for a short and not very difficult hiking.
You will need to start your walking from a point which is on the way to Haghpat Monastery. Please ask locals to show the point (there is also an old bridge which can be a start of your hiking). Then you need to walk around 1 hour. The way is mostly easy, you will need to climb a bit when you are close to the Fortress.
Also be aware of snakes - they are not very agresive here, but better if you have closed shoes.
