This a must see.
Beautiful architecture and gardens.
The memorial is to celebrate the March 31, 1918 (March Days) massacre and genocide of Azeris, Jews and Muslims by Dashnaks and Bolsheviks.
The memorial includes a mass grave discovered in 2007 (ossuary)
In the gardens there are number of black boxes. The small represent children, the medium sized adults and the larger the elderly
This a very solemn place.

Once a football field, a mass grave was discovered during some renovation works in 2007. You need to show some ID to visit it. But then an English speaking guide will give some historical insights and answer any question about the genocide perpetrated by Armenians in 1918. As usual in Azerbaijan, art combines with architecture to help us learn more about history. Highly instructive albeit a bit sad.

A fitting tribute to the thousands who were massacred in 1918. The complex provokes thought and reflection around the atrocities of war whilst commemorating the dead in a peaceful and dignifying manner. A guide took us around the exhibits in the museum building which was very imformative. Worth an hour of anybody's time.

It is a rather new complex with attention to a lot of details. The park, complex and location are very beautiful to remember a tragic event which should never be forgotten. But what I really disagree is the fact, that the view is quite narrow and independent facts are not available. In the internet I found a totally different view and numbers of people who died. Therefore I rate it with only two. One should stick to the truth or at least make it clear, that the sources are very limited.

Close to the river in Guba - not so far from the center - you will find this place. After taking copy of my passport (!) a guide showed me around - free of any fees. A room with human bones and skulls were locked up for viewing (reminds me of Tuol Sleng Cambodia). Underground there is a museum of minor interest. Spend one hours here and when I visited it was not crowded.
