Me and my boyfriend went for 6 days beautiful trek which included passing of glacier and the famous Ala-kul lake. Despite the unpredictable weather (rain, sun, storm) we really enjoyed the trek thanks to the great guide Viktor and our 2 porters. They took very good care of us, carrying a lot of food (I would even say too much:), tent and the necessary glacier equipment for us. Everything went very smoothly and if decide to visit Karakol and go trekking, Visit Karakol will be our first choice!

Spent two days on the tours, one to visit Ala-Kul Lake and another to visit Altyn-Arashan.
On the first day, we had a fantastic guide who helped us to the lake, through many steep faces and several slightly dangerous portions of the hike. Halfway through, it started to hail and the muddy areas got really slippery; the guide's experience shone through and we managed to get ourselves back to safety after visiting the lake.
On the second day, the same expert guide brought my friends to the Altyn-Arashan Hot Springs. I was feeling slightly under the weather after the first day, and requested for a Russian military jeep to bring me directly to the hot springs. I was most thankful for Timur, the manager, who made all the last-minute arrangements so that I could join my friends at the hot springs despite being unable to hike there. The road to the hot springs was incredibly bumpy and I was thankful to the driver for his superb driving and getting me to and back safely.
Visit Karakol provides amazing services, and while there might be other agencies, I would definitely go back to them when (not if) I visit Karakol again!

We came to amazing Kyrgistan in May 2018 just after having finished our trip to Uzbekistan. 5 friends from France, we were searching for nature landscapes, freezing mountains, blue water of the lakes. And we found everything in Karakol. During one week we climbed to Ala Lil lake, saw the Fairy Tale and 7 bulls canyons, slept next to Issyk Lil lake in comfortable youths, walked in a snow on 3000 metres and warmed ourselves in hot sources.
Timur (the founder of Welcome to Karakol company) made a brilliant organisation job. He is a professional, experienced guide who perfectly knows his country and its history, who speaks fluently in English and who indeed became the part (I would even say the most important one) of our group.
Kyrgistan has many things to offer to the tourists. The people are adorable and the nature is very welcoming.
The horse ride of 4 hours in the mountaints that Timur organised for us will stay the best memory for me among other wonderful moments.
Our heart is staying here in Karakol and we will be very happy to come back to this country and plan some other trips to the South of the country with Welcome to Karakol.

Just ended 10 wonderful and exiting days at Kyrgyzstan with an English spiking guide Timor his name, a very friendly and welcoming person.
The planning was outstanding, very good accommodation, tasty food and long hiking,
We where group of 12 and the highlights of the visit were Ala-Kol, Alatn-Arashan, the Fairy-tail valley and Kel-suu lake by horse ride.
Recommended for all ages in good health and hiking capabilities.

Me and my 10 friends had unforgettable trip to Karakol this winter. From the very beginning we've contacted Timur and the team and they've organized airport transfer for us. By the way our driver Ilim became our friend and took care about all our logistics during our trip. It took us quite long time to choose right place to stay - we've looked through lots of private houses for our group and finally we've stopped at GreenYard hotel where we had our own house with 6 bedrooms, kitchen and big living room where we've spent many evenings playing board games and playing guitar that Timur found and brought us just for free) I was talking with many people on the ski elevator and that was the proof that GreenYard is perfect location in terms of cost and quality. Among transfer and accomodation Visit Karakol can offer you any kind of services at the highest level so that you'll have pleasant memories forewer.
During our 8 days in Karakol we've visited:
- local historical museum and Przhevalskiy museum;
- open air spa center with pools with natural hot water (40, 50 and 60 degrees) close to Issyk-Kul coast;
- sauna and "banya" in the Green ard hotel;
- Karakol Coffee bar and cafe;
- Dastorkon restaurant.
All the above mentioned places I recommend to visit.

We went on a one day trip to Jeti-Oguz. What a beautiful place. Ibraim, our English speaking guide was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and interesting. Our lunch was traditional food in a wonderful yurt. Although the trip was a full day at no point did any of us want it to end. Great day 'Visit Karakol' and thank you Ibraim.

We had limited time as only part of our group was trekking and Timur organised us a great one day trek to Ala Kul lake. Everything was perfect. The guide was friendly and professional. The important to mention is that the car driver was an absolute master in his profession - he made a very hard drive to Altyn Arashan, impossible to imagine for those who have not seen it. Absolutely recommended. I plan to come back for longer trekking or climbing in this region and I would chose Visit Karakol again.

Dear Paulina,
Thank you very much for your review and visit Karakol.
You did quite difficult trek to Ala-Kul lake from Altyn-Arashan and back in 1 day, not all hikers can do that, but your group were fit and strong.
We will be happy to arrange trekking when you will come to Karakol next time.
Best regards,

My wife, baby and I live in Kazakhstan and we took her parents to Kyrgyzstan to experience some beautiful scenery - we chose Visit Karakol as the options on their website seemed perfect for our needs. The one day Jeti-Oguz trip was excellent with our English-speaking guide Ibraim proving to be friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about his job, which meant all of us really enjoyed our day out in beautiful surroundings. Ibraim stayed in contact with me to help with my hobby of Lenin-hunting and also sent some fantastic photos of our trip to me. Sadly illness in our group meant we couldn't make our second trip to Altyn Arashan but I would certainly use Visit Karakol for this trip in future and I highly recommend them! Thank you Ibraim and Visit Karakol!

Dear Martin,
Thank you for your warm review, we are happy that you liked our service and service of guide Ibraim. Unfortunately, I couldn't meet with you at that time due to I was on climbing tour with another group, but I hope you will visit Karakol again and I will have opportunity to meet with you and your family personally next time.
Best regards,

Timur and the Visit Karakol team organised an eleven day expedition for us, culminating in climbing Peak Palatka. The organisation and communication were excellent, and the guides and porters hard working and good company (think singing round bonfires and sharing a few shots of vodka!). Timur found an experienced mountain guide for the summit climb itself, which was important as the peak was pretty demanding (not really for beginners, so it was good we had a bit of experience). I would certainly use Visit Karakol again - Timur did everything he did to ensure our trip was successful, down to accompanying us up Palatka and magically some whisky to celebrate our achievement! Thanks again to him and the whole team.

We will start to work on our pictures and video, when summer work will subsides and I will send link to you for the files.
Hopefully, I will visit Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in October and I hope to meet with you in Tashkent and have best local Plov.
