To be honest, on my way the approaching towns were a bit depressing, if not ugly... however, once you traverse the winding (if not a bit dangerous) mountain road you will see breathtaking views that will make the trip so worth it -- Spectacular. once up there, stop at Ivancic for a bite to eat with a view.

Wow! Travel the Plesivica wine road in Jastrebarsko A short easy drive off the main highway outside of Zagreb. Great wineries on one road! Stock up on your wine for the trip. Contact Na Okic, listed on Tripadvisor, for a personal tour. Ivana at Kolaric wineries was a welcoming and knowledgeable hostess. Eat fabulous fresh food from the fields at restaurants overlooking the beautiful rolling hills. You can hike ruins in nearby Klinca Sela village or visit the center of this quaint town.
Bring a camera, your phone, GPS works great in this country, no matter how remote. We rented a car, the signage is very user friendly. A must stop.
