Rockies Heli Canada owns and operates Helicopter Tours out of two unique locations:

Kananaskis Base (see Rockies Heli Canada - Kananaskis Base)

Icefield Adventure Base (see Rockies Heli Canada - Icefield Adventure Base)

Our Icefield Adventure Base offers helicopter tours for those who like to venture off the beaten track and fully immerse themselves into the incredible sights and sounds of nature. Imagine the epic views as you soar right over Rocky Mountain peaks, getting a unique birds-eye view of glaciers, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls from a perspective that few are lucky enough to see. Your pilot whisks you over these incredible sights but the experience doesn’t stop there. Now, you land smack dab in the middle of the wild backcountry that would normally take 8 hours to hike in and you’ve been in the air for only 10 (amazing) minutes. From here, choose your own adventure:

Heli-Hiking

Heli-camping (guided or fly in/fly out)

Heli-fishing

Heli-yoga

Or maybe just pull out a picnic and some bubbly while relaxing with Mother Nature. The only thing we ask is that you remember to breathe!

10 of us booked 2 Helis for the 6 glacier tour, hike, & champagne. Our pilots were wonderful, personable, knowledgeable. We all had stunning views, close up! We enjoyed being able to communicate with the pilot & ask questions on our flights. We landed near a waterfall & got to hike, sample the stream, & relax in the woods. They... More

Loved our day heli-hiking. Kyle our guide was so easy-going and knowledgeable. Lots to explore. Kevin our pilot was great and took us in a little closer to the Cline River when I mentioned how beautiful it was. A truly unique experience to be the only people in a remot-ish valley (would be a 9-hour hike up!) Would do this... More

We opted for the hour long tour with the landing and hike in the middle, and we're so glad that we did. Kevin, our pilot, was an excellent guide who took us on a breathtaking tour of the Cline River valley and then up to the mountain peaks. We flew within yards of the edge of the peaks, finding hidden... More

If you are looking for something more than just a helicopter ride don't miss this deal. Well worth it, we flew for a while over some magnificent views then landed in the middle of nowhere and walked to twin falls. It was nearly an hour walk but an easy walk. The pilot was very informative and answered all our questions.... More

Absolutely fantastic. Scenery beautiful, pilot was knowledgable and it was an amazing experience. Tony our pilot was amazing, we both got to co-pilot so our views were stunning and magnificent...can't even describe the beauty that surrounded us. We went up into the snow capped mountains and landed between several streams. We then got out and went for a lovely hike... More

We took the Explore the Rockies Tour. The flight is 12 minutes long but the memories will be with you a lifetime. The helicopter we were in had six passengers plus the pilot, so things are very tight if you have a window seat you can take some fantastic photos, was at the left back window so I ran video... We went today on a 20 minute trip around the peaks of the mountains. Was a great tour of you don't have a lot of time in Banff. Gives you a really spectacular views and the staff are really friendly. Felt very safe the whole time.

This was an intimate experience with a group of 6 (3 couples). The view was stunning and the pilots made us feel safe and secure. They were very knowledgeable and from the flight to the hiking they were telling us all about the surrounding areas. We had champagne at the end of the hike on top of a beautiful waterfall.... More
