The beach you see is part of Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa. A nice walk across the bridge to nowhere originally built a restaurant at the end now just concrete walls with grafitti. Nice views from bridges.

This is basically a long bridge connecting few keys at the Samana bay. From here you can have the nicest view of the city, as well as enjoy the salty breeze of the Atlantic Ocean.

It's definitely worth it to walk across both bridges to the island. It's too bad this hasn't been developed more. I understand that one time there was a plan to put restaurants on the island.

This was my only experience with the DR, as part of a cruise. The hills and water were stunning. Its a beautiful countryside. The town seemed quite poor, but everyone was very friendly and helpful, and I felt comfortable wandering the streets. I would definitely...More

We walked all the way to the end, it was a little scary at some points (the gaps in the bridge) wear running shoes if you plan on walking to the end and bring water. It has some really nice views of the Samana. I...More

Watch out for construction at the second bridge crossing. Several places are being repaired so one should be watch their step. Good place for photo's of the Cayo Coco resort from the last island and you can see Cayo Levantado as well.

As everything in Samana, the area where Los Puentes or Bridges are located is gorgeous. Too bad the little cays that these Puentes or Bridges connect are in need of cleaning sometimes, because people throw garbage. The bridges can use a little maintainance, too.

I live in the DR, so I have experienced many things needing to be better maintained. In this particular bridge, it is part of a tourist experience and should be maintained as such. I'm certain it is not the responsibility of the Grand Bahia Principe...More
