We used Gregory’s tour group to help organize our boat trip to Los Haitises national park to see bird island, caves, bats and have lunch and beach time at Cayo Levantado.
Gregory was very honest, quick to reply via WhatsApp to our questions, on time and provided us with a fairly priced pick up and drop off to the port and back to our hotel.
As a tour operator Gregory doesn’t come on the boat excursion but sets you up with a boat tour with a very experienced group of young men who led the tour. It was a very wavy day on the ocean and they got us around safely but it was a little slow going. So if you are easily sea sick go on a day when the ocean is calmer as the crossing from one side over the bay to the other took about an hour and was quite rough.

What a fantastic tour. Ramon was very knowledgeable and very good throughoutbthe tour. He made sure we were comfortable with everything and explained everything to us. Los Haitises National Park and Cayo Levantado was a nice tour and was $30.00 cheaper than everyone else. They had water and pop and the buffet lunch was delicious. I had someone pick me up at the hotel with a scooter and dropped me off. Great service. Thanks again for the lovely tour!

Gregory was the best! He treated us like family and was sweet. He took care of the details so we didn't even have to think or ask questions. The places he took us were incredibly beautiful!! He even took pics of us which was nice. Can't wait to come back and book him again.

Gregory was our tour man that sold us tickets for whales sightseeing. He is knowledgeable, respectful and honest man. He made my husband and I feel safe while going on this tour. He was on time in picking us up and returning us back to Bahia Principle safely. Thank you for taking.care of us.

We stayed at the Grand Bahia principe Cayacoa in June with air Canada. They charge ridiculous prices for tours. Gregory walks along the beach and offers the same tours at a much lower rate. We went Ziplining and did a full day at the baracrdi island and national park. We literally go to the same point and do the same tour as the people in our hotel. We just go by a different transport that he sets up. He is trust worthy and a funny guy. I would highly recommend buying any tours from him. We did both tours for about the same price as one with Air Canada.

Gregory is very helpfull, friendly, flexible and kind person. I have been on the Samana with my wife for 2 weeks and we had a really great experience with Gregory. Other tours are making a pressure on you to go with them, but they will not provide that good service as Gregory. We had much better prices then on the hotel or from the other tours and you dont have to pay anything before. Also, he is very flexible, you can go whenever you want to. When you want to book a excursion, usually you have to come on the exact time and you cant "manage" your excursion, with Gregory you can go at anytime and for how long you want. if you want just a half day excursion, no problem, if you would like to stay a little bit longer, no problem. And you can save a much money with him. I really highly recommend this guy to everyone.

Outstanding
After debating should we take really expensive zip line tour through Air Canada representative ($ 89 USD/person), with reassurance that we already got great deal, our spouses met Gregory on the beach. At the end, he arranged transport (return trip) in private minivan & zipline tickets for a group of 8 people and total cost was $ 200 USD cheaper than Air Canada rep.
Significant saving!! I was little bit sceptic at the beginning, however, great reviews on Tripadvisor somehow comforted me. Then great surprise and another token of great service and trust – we didn’t have to pay until we return!! Well, long story short – an amazing experience and Gregory delivered everything as promised. We had great trip to mountains, completed our zipline trip, weather cooperated, trip back to hotel quick and without issues.
Highly recommended, great experience, great customer service.

After almost being pressured and then publicly chastised by the 'air canada tours' guy 'mr. Joel' when we questioned the pricing, we decided to go with the local guys.
Gregory is a cool guy, with lots of info, and absolutely no pressure.
We took the Rincon beach tour, which is the nicest beach I've ever seen. It costed 6500 pesos for the lady and I which comes to 180 canadian after the exchange. Well worth it!
All the drinks and food were included, the ride was comfortable, and the guides were super cool and informative. Going as far as stopping off at a cacoa plantation to get us fresh coffee, cocoa, bananas and 'mamajuana' (a local beer/aphrodisiac)
And once again the beach was incredible!

I have never been brave enough to book 'on the beach' before. But reading a few reviews on TA I thought I would give Gregory a try. It was great.
We booked to go to Rincon Beach. My husband is still telling everyone 'We not only had our own driver, we also had our own guide'! The boys names were Raul Ruben Johnson, (driver) Monchi Green (our guide) Raul was a very safe driver. Even though the road down to the beach is almost non existent( I read a review that 'in places it is washed away') - there is almost no road at all, just rocks to bump over. But Raul went slowly and we got there fine. Gregory advised us to leave about 8.30 - this was good advice as we got to the beach before the other trips, so the first view we got was a beautiful deserted beach. Half an hour later, there were quad bikes.horses, and trucks full of people. We stopped on the way at what was a shop really, and were shown all varieties of fruit. We chose which fruit we would like to taste. It was all cut up for us. We were given tea/coffee/mamauana to drink as well as being made a typical Dominican desert ( in a coconut shell bowl) sliced banana/vanilla/grated cocoa. All very local. We were invited to browse the shop and make purchases. We bought a hat and after exchanging money/haggling, we were back in the car. The car was comfortable, with fully functioning seat belts and Raul drove at appropriate speeds the whole day. Our guide Monchi, spoke very good English and gave us lots of information. We chatted most of the day and on the way back. At the beach the best bit was that we had our lunch on the very edge of the beach, at a table, under a canopy, with the most fantastic views. All the excursions went to a large cafe area about 50 yards back. We had rice/chicken/fish/ salad/fried plantain, which I really liked, with coke, rum and water available as we wanted it. The boys sat by our sun beds, with our bags, as we walked along the beach, advising us where to go and not to go and while we swam.
We left at 8.30 in the morning and returned to the hotel, when we wanted, as Gregory told us, you are the boss. We actually got back at about 4pm.
The best part is you only pay after the trip so you really are going to get a good time. It rained our last two days, otherwise we would have done another trip with Gregory. Thanks very much Gregory. If you want to book with him you will find him on the beach, just before you go under the bridge.

We were a group of 60 and Gregory and his team provided arrangements for a day that far exceeded my expectations — many described the day with Gregory in Samana as the high point of a 10-day trip. Really superb organization — from planning, communication, to execution.

Qué vale más o menos las excursiones en barco a las playas?
Written May 16, 2018

We are planning to visit Samana on February 18-25 with 2 x 22 year old girls.
Wondering what are the cost/person for El Limon waterfall/horseback riding/ 1/2 day tour?
any other tours you can recommend for 2 other 1/2 or full day tours. Is there any Cinote tours. We did this in Mexico and it was amazing.

Hi Berta!
I would recommend the Los Haitises National park tour and the Rincon beach tour with Gregory Tours. Have a look at my reviews for more info. Memorable excursions!

Eric
