美作地方を代表する大地主の家

かなり奥地の方までクルマを進めました。国の重要文化財です。土砂降りのなかを邸内に入りましたが、大きな茅葺きの建物で、その大きさに圧倒されます。1786年の建築で江戸時代の末期に近い。林家は美作地方を代表する大地主で、大庄屋でもあります。だれもいない邸内を歩きました。寒村のなかのたたずまいに気持ちが落ち着きます。
