Scenic beach cove and blue seas
Brown tourist signs point the way to Sarsala Koyu as you approach Dalaman Airport. It is the last but one turning before the airport security check point. The road goes through the village of Kapıkargın and then the view opens out as you climb up above Kocagöl, a beautiful blue lake. Allow 20 or 30 minutes to drive from the airport road to Sarsala depending on your confidence on winding mountain roads and how good you are at resisting the many photo opportunities. It is a sealed surfaced road all the way but twisty. There are a few places where it is single track for a short while but passing places are easily seen and I doubt reversing will be necessary. (Co-ordinates are 36°39.665' N - 28°51.118' E). From the top of the final descent there is a view of the beach, blue sea and some of the famous 12 islands of Gocek Bay. This spectacular view is the one seen on most photographs of Sarsala. There are picnic spots and walking trails on the hillside from which to take in the view. Sarsala has a large car park which costs a few lira in summer. The car park is next to the beach and, at quieter times, there is some shaded parking. The beach becomes crowded at summer weekends but at other times there are few people here. The gritty sand goes gradually into the calm water, ideal for sea bathing. There is a lifeguard on duty most summer days. Sun beds and umbrellas are available to rent, but there are plenty of areas of naked sand and rocks.
There is a snack bar and changing rooms. Boat trips from the jetty can be arranged in season. A way marked walking trail follows the coast to Hamam Koyu (Cleopatra’s bath) from the end of the beach away from the road. Summer weekends and local holidays are best avoided, unless you like the buzz of a crowd at play. It is then that the problem of discarded cigarettes and other rubbish becomes an issue too.

    Nice small bay
Not very easy to locate it as mostly by local people go there. There is small fee for entrance and parking is not arranged very well,so dusty.Sea is calm and quiet but the beach is not clean very well.Trash and cigarette remainders are every where.Needs to be well cleaned by the beach management. There is a small caterer here where you can buy yr drinks and light snacks at small fee.

    Spectacular setting but beach disappointing
Drove there through narrow switchback road. ( coming from Dalaman head towards Dalaman airport and turn left off main road signposted with brown sign to Sarsala takes about 30 mins) descend steep windy descent to chaotic car park. Standard Trl 2,50 per person entrance. The scenery and setting really is spectacular. It is a stony/ gritty beach. What let it down for me was there was a lot of litter on the beach ( napkins, paper, fag ends) and in the sea, which I have not seen at other Turkish beaches. It was quite busy, mainly turkish families as it was a Sunday, but not too crowded, There is a snack shack, 4 soft drinks Trl 10 so not expensive. There was also a manned lifeguard tower and the sea is gentle and warm, quite stony, Glad we have seen it but I wouldn't rush back, the drive and car park are a pain and Sarigerme is cleaner and sandier.

Be warned: an extremely dangerous road.
Yes, yes, Sarsala is stunnungly beautiful. The question is, are you willing to risk your life to get there? The road is extremely dangerous and it involves a number of sharp turns with barely enough space for cars to pass one another. How anyone can relax on this beach, knowing they have to make their way back up the steep road with zero barriers and Formula 1 drivers is a mystery to me. I am not overreacting here: I would never recommend that this beach be approached by land. Also, going on a Sunday was a bad idea: the place is overcrowded with nowhere to park: we spent more time looking for parking than on the actual beach. The toilets are very dirty....No, honestly, look at pictures of Sarsala, or, if you really need to go, approach it by water (apparently there are ferries from Fethiye). The disadvantages far outweigh the otherwise fabulous views.

Dangerous road to get to it!
Dreadful, terrifying drive of 5 miles on an edge of cliff road, with barely passing room for two cars!!to an overcrowded beach! Not a sunbed in sight!! 30 minutes queue for food and no where to sit and eat it!! Definitely would not recommend it!

We love this place, the view from the top of the road is spectacular, the beach is small but the sea here is perfect for swimming. There is a beach cafe serving a variety of snacks and drinks and the staff are friendly and helpful especially the lifeguard who is everwatchful of swimmers. The downside to this place is that now the road has greatly improved it is very crowded in high season. It is fine early and late season though.

    Natural Beauty
The journey took some effort as the road was not for the faint hearted. The beach was well equipped with beds and shade - for a small price and a life guard was attentive to those swimming. This was limited due to regular boat traffic. As with most Turkish beaches, the utilities offered were good and there is also a picnic area. An enjoyable time was had by all and I would return. Weekdays are advised as it is a beach frequented by locals and would naturally be busier at the weekend.

Best place to hop on a private boat. It also has a nice beach and the sea is beautiful. It is 20 min by car from the airport. Always my choice.

What an amazing location. We caught this beach right at the end of the season. There was a just a handful of people on the beach. The setting is so picturesque and well worth the drive down the hair pond bends! The cafe manager was very helpful and friendly.

One of the good beach of Dalaman, near the city. Sand and sun and amazing view...
You may bring your meals and drinks.
There are some restaurants as well
But sand is so dirty, no one care to keep clean, as usual...so many trash...
