Mr Vu's DMZ tour is fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable on the American war and brings it to life with helpful descriptions and a huge image library on his iPad. He adjusts his tour to the interests of the group and their expertise (we are a family and had very limited knowledge of Vietnam's modern history, and all of us enjoyed the tour greatly). His car is comfortable, clean and he drives extremely well. Highly recommended

Vu is an exceptional tour guide, and individual, whose knowledge, experience and passion shows through his entire being. His delivery is backed by a desire to share his own interest in a period of his countries history that at times only silence can justify. He immerses you in the atmosphere and transports you back in time in a way that leaves you on no doubt about what happened here, from all perspectives and without bias. In addition he introduced us to the best road side pho and other delights, made using traditional methods, and when our hotel could. O linger accommodate us at short notice, he quickly found an alternative. We absolutely loved the time and experience we had with Vu, all of which was consistently backed with humour, a smile and stories over a beer… Just The One!! His history of positive feedback is justice to an exception person and experience. Thanks Vu.. Lee and Phil

A personal 2 day tour spanning 3 days began at our hotel in Hue at midday and ended in on day 3 in Hoi An. Our guide in Hue was Mr Lay. We toured the Imperial City which was excellent before going to tour Thien Mu Pagoda & Temple where we were treated with a local takeaway dish of a beautiful tasting stuffed dumpling (I wish I'd paid more attention and learned the name of this food) , followed by a visit to Thủy Bằng where we visited the royal Khai Dinh Tomb. Going great, can it get any better? Oh yes. Day 2 a tour of the DMZ. We took in many sights and locations amongst which was Hamburger Hill, Khe Sanh air base (followed by a great lunch of Mì Quảng Gia), the old north/south boarder crossing at Hien Luong Bridge where we visited the museum before going on to the Vinh Moc Tunnels which were a real experience. There were many other sights too numerous to mention. Then a very pleasant drive back to Hue. Day 3 started with being picked up at the hotel by Mr Vu and taking a ride to Hoi An via the Hai Van Pass to Da Nang. Journey filled with fantastic sights & photo opportunities before arriving in Da Nang where we had an even better lunch than the day before. From here we went on to Hoi An where our tour ended. I can honestly say that, despite being rather brief in my description, the tour was worth every penny and moment spent on it. Mr Vu was a very knowledgeable guide who was very personable and great company. Would I recommend a tour from Annam & Mr Vu. You bet I would.

Mr Vu is an excellent guide with deep knowledge of the area and the history of the Vietnam War. We had a fascinating day, with the highlight being Khe San and the tunnels on the coast. We would recommend Mr Vu to anyone interested in a battlefield tour of the former DMZ. It is also a great opportunity to take a journey through rural Vietnam.

My father was a Marine in the Vietnam war and my boyfriend and I wanted to plan a trip back with him. My first order of business was to find a great tour guide that could show us some of the significant war locations around the country including the places my father was stationed. I knew I wanted to book a tour with Mr. Vu as soon as I read all of his positive reviews, and I am so so glad I did! I can’t express how much my father enjoyed our 2 day battlefield tour and how much it meant to him personally. We asked hundreds of questions over the course of 2 days and Mr. Vu knew the answer to ALL of them. He was not only extremely knowledgeable but also a personable and funny guy to spend 2 days with. He had hundreds of historical photos to go with the sites we were visiting, and knew small interesting details about each one. He helped us interact with the locals, learn about Vietnamese life, and gain a whole new perspective on this beautiful country. When our tour was over, my father talked for hours (not an exaggeration- hours!) about how much he enjoyed it and how he can’t wait to tell all his veteran friends about this wonderful experience. I can’t recommend Mr. Vu enough, and I can’t say enough great things about him and the experience of this tour. I know this is something my father will remember for the rest of his life. Thank you so much for giving my father a bit of peace after 50 years.
