Feb 2018 • Friends
We were in this skiing area in February 2018.
Snow was absolutely great, weather was ok. For my preferences the skiing area is a bit lacking the challenging slopes, whereby I do not need the black ones but a lot of the red ones also just have a short stretch that is somewhat steeper (matching the red designation) and then a long stretch that is quite flat.
This makes the skiing area also very well suited for families with younger children / beginners which nevertheless leads to the lifts going slow to make entry or exit easier relatively frequently.
Nevertheless: the slopes are kept in great shape and it is ovrall a skiing area I would happily visit again.

We got a lucky with some solid snow in December 2017. The trip to the Donnerkogel is very convenient and a short walk from the mountain top to a nice hut for lunch makes it twice as rewarding, even if you are not skiing.
In Lungotz we did some cross country skiing, which was along a very scenic landscape, through snow covered forests, along partially snow covered creeks in excellently prepared loipen.
(Skis and shoes for 3 people for half a day: 20 Euros. In US that is probably what you pay for the parking ...).
