Windmills, clogs and cheese

Join me to the beautiful countryside of the Netherlands. The landscape here is as Dutch as you can get it: polders, canals, lakes and neat little villages on the borders of the former Zuiderzee.

Explore Marken and Volendam, traditional and picturesque villages with romantic houses, draw bridges and canals. Enjoy the scenic ride through Dutch scenery where we will also visit a working windmill, a wooden shoe maker and a cheese farm.

Explore the Dutch Icons with your own private guide!

ITINERARY

Pick up at your preferred pick up location (your accommodation, the cruise ship terminal or the airport). Scenic ride in the countryside where we will visit the traditional fishing villages, visit a windmill, wooden shoe maker and a cheese farm. There is also time for souvenir shopping and a typical Dutch lunch.

After our tour I will drop you off at your preferred drop off location.

Don't forget to bring a camera! There are many good photo opportunities.

If you like wind, this is the place to go! The architectural design of the shopping area resulted in a giant wind tunnel. Next to the shopping are is a beautiful waterfront. This is for the most part blocked by the one building that doesn't require a view: a theater. Whoever designed this shopping area, must rethink his career. Positives: The Christmas decorations are nice.

This Mall is right next door to the Station. Takes about 20 minutes from Airport and Centrum. Nice little market nearby lots of shops for everyone. Food shops, Materials and lots of Hotels in the area which are much cheaper than city area in Amsterdam. Safe clean and quiet area away from the crowds but close enough to get around. If on a budget its a perfect choice. I found a great Apartment for less than €140 for 2 nights in this area.

Almere looks as if its just next door to Amsterdam but don't be fooled! Its as far away from the airport ( Skipol) as Amsterdam main city centre. Very commercial city centre!
