Apart from diving and sea bathing area offers a few things. The beach was very beautiful. A bit lonely. A handful of tourists can be seen relaxing. Some tourists and the dive center arranged clean ups. The people in the area need to be aware of the pollution. The floods rain too bring rubbish to the beach. Authorities need to focus the attention to keep the beaches clean. One more thing I noticed. The large village nets so called MAA Dal is being used. They do not get enough harvest for the efforts. People are very friendly All in all if you need to relax this is the place.

I would not recommend this beach for swimming. The waves are big (at least when I was there in February) and there are signs advising against going in the water. Also, I did not feel comfortable being in a bikini on the beach since everyone else is fully dressed. Nice place for a walk though.

Very calm and tranquil place. One of the cleanest beaches I have seen in Sri Lanka. Beach spans across a vast area and yet its hard to spot any garbage lying around. Not suitable for bathing. Best visit in evenings or early mornings. Good place to witness sunrise.
