It is within walking distance from Znojmo Castle and the view from the balconies at St Nicholas Chirch is very good- view of Dyje River and the houses and buildings along its sloping sides uphill. I visited in 2014 Sept.

Visit St. Nicholas Church which is the largest religious monument in Znojmo. It is a part of the typical Znojmo panorama and it provides the most beautiful view of the skyline can be seen from the walls of Znojmo castle. This monumental church stands on a promontory overlooking the river of Dyje. The beautifully renovated and spacious building of the... More

Very nice building from the street but I didn't find it to much interesting inside. Especially nice view is from the castle, rotunda and brewery and from a hill above.

A very large and very nice church to visit. Within walking distance of the castle and definitely worth a look.

This is a lovely church with a wonderful view to the valley! There is even a quite exciting relic, the skeleton of a Saint, that was originally buried in Rome but was at some point brought back to Znojmo. The skeleton is covered, but you can still see the skull and parts of the body. Other ways it is a... More

I was blown away by the decor in this unassuming little church! I was also a little bit freaked out by the dead saints decorated body in a glass coffin!

The area around the church offers great views, and the church itself is worth a visit. It was lovely to see how full of life it is - during our visit, they were just cleaning up the remainders of a wedding, while a baptism was already going on - while visitors could also freely enter. Definitely worth taking a peek... More

The church is in a nice position over the river: you can enjoy a beautiful sightseeing! The inside is good, especially the world-shaped pulpit.

Light and airy, just a few small restricted areas make this church easy to notice it details and to photograph. The oldest mentioning of this st. Nicholas church dates from 1190, but in the dinars of Prince Lutold minted in Znojmo around 1103 is the silhouette of the Church and inscription "s. Nicolaus" printed. Built on a rocky promontory in... More
