I used Zan Island Taxis on Zanzibar for all of my taxi needs. Excellent communication via WhatsApp. Prices were also much better than what our hotel offered.  Our driver was always on time or actually waiting for us to arrive. Very comfortable driving style and also good information about the Island and the activities we wanted to do. Also booked our snorkling trip via them for a good price. I read bad reviews on some other pre book taxi companies about no shows at the airport etc. I had no worries with this company so high recommendations from me.

From the very beginning, excellent communication with Mr Othman when enquiring about tariffs. We used Zan Island taxi services in November on several occasions, from airport to hotel and vice-versa, from hotel to other places like Jozani... pick-up was always there. So relaxing to find a reliable company. Moreover, we also had to request some last minute changes, or had to inform that our flight was delayed, it never was a problem. A very professional experience. Do not hesitate.

We moved around in Zanzibar 5-6 times and always with Zan island. They were always on time. Friendly, listening and down to earth. They drove us in the middle of the night to the airport, all went smooth. Always so easy to communicate with. Can really recommend if you want a reliable taxi!

Probably the best person (Othman) and the best professional transfer and tour service we’ve met on Zanzibar. He really saved our holidays. We had a bad hotel experience and had to leave very early morning. Othman responded my message at 6:30 am and did his best to help us with our transfer. Because he earned our trust, we asked him to organize all our tours and transfers on Zanzibar. The most amazing is that he returned cash all our money back because our planned safari trip was cancelled by the flight company. Honest, respectful, good character and professional. My wife and I booked the Zan Island Taxi whist in Qatar before the holiday began. I have to say that the experience was good and the driver who was a bubbly English speaking man was waiting as briefed! He gave us a totally immersed brief about his country while we were taken to Stonehouse and seemed very happy to be doing so. We used the service three more times ultimately to take us back to the Airport when we left. WhatsApp contact each time made easy for booking. Great service, paid in USD at what we felt was a good rate! Certainly cheaper than the Hotel shuttles or Private Hires.
