Sunbeds and umbrellas at 8-9 Euros. Fine golden sand, overall very clean. Very popular with families. Some quieter faraway spots with some nudists.

Occupied by all kind of tourist beach, dressed in reserved area. No real beach rules exist but all places are used in respect of everybody.

At the beginning of the sea, where the beach edge, there is a layer made of stone. This layer has some splits and cuts where fishes are living. You can snorkeling here a variety of fishes. Also a squid was seen by my daughter. And some sea urchins. The nice is that everything can be observed in a not deep water, so even if you are not a good swimmer, you do not feel afraid doing snorkeling. It was the first snorkeling experience for me, so I do not have actually other comparisons, but I was very happy with that.

The turquoise waters off Maragas Beach are visually stunning. There is a kilometer long stretch of beach that is great for walking and swimming -- that starts about 220 meters south of the bus stop and continues south toward Plaka Beach. There is a nice walk to Maragas from Agia Anna. There is good bus service between Maragas and Naxos port. Maragas was the nicest beach that we encountered during our two weeks in Greece, and we visited many of the top beaches on Paros, Ios, Mykonos, Santorini, and several smaller islands.

Spent most of our days here. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The closer you get to the church the more nudism is practised.Mostly nude, older couples, young couples, single men and women everyone feels relaxed. No sunbeds or parasol so bring your own.
