It is a short walk from Agia Anna Beach, just south of the white church on the hill. It can also be reached via a board walk that starts south of the small marina.

This is probably the prettiest beach in the area, with beautiful rock formations, nice soft sand, and a backdrop of trees. It is also completely undeveloped with no lounge and umbrella rentals or tavernas. It was also mostly naturist when we were there in September.

We visited the beach at the far end just below the church where you'll find no sun beds or umbrellas just a nice quite chilled area. Lots of nudists in this area of all different ages. The place to totally relax on holiday.

At the beginning of the sea, where the beach edge, there is a layer made of stone. This layer has some splits and cuts where fishes are living. You can snorkeling here a variety of fishes. Also a squid was seen by my daughter. And some sea urchins.
The nice is that everything can be observed in a not deep water, so even if you are not a good swimmer, you do not feel afraid doing snorkeling.
It was the first snorkeling experience for me, so I do not have actually other comparisons, but I was very happy with that.

This is one of most beautiful Naxos beaches.
Located in Ag. Prokopios, a small village very close to downtown. It's not a walkable distance but you can rent a bike, a car or take the bus.
Not crowded it offers spaces with umbrellas and beds, sometimes with no money charge, and free spaces where you can lean your pareo.
It's a long, clean, white sand beach. Clear emerald water.
The view of the bay from the main road is something special.
Many taverns nearby where to stop for a beer or a greek salad.

Maragas is a great little beach at the north end of Plaka. It is well served with taverns, grocery store, bike hire, and bus route, while remaining less populated than nearby Agia Anna. We booked our accommodation at Stella Apartments and never regretted our choice of location.

It's alittle walk from Agia Ana but a pleasant walk and it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. I often camp there at the Maragas camping.

Beautiful stretch of beach almost deserted during first week of May. There were no busses during our first week (started 7th May), many restaurants and hotels still closed. The local tavern O Manolis was open for traditional Greek food and has a lovely setting on the beach under the tamarix trees. Sand is soft both in and out of the crystal clear water. There was a small supermarket for provisions open. The road along this stretch is untarmacked. Beautiful view of sunset of Paros Island.
