The beach was very windy as it always seemed to be for our 3 day stay. Water was refreshing to swim in but not cold. Many people comment on smell which we were also aware of which wasn't pleasant in certain areas. Further up towards end where cafe is beach seemed to be clothes optional! Umbrellas and sun lounges available... More

Went with our four kids four to twelve. The two older loved snorkeling near rocks below Church side. We saw the most variety of fish in all beaches we went on this side of the island!! Not like in the red Sea but beautiful and spent a few hours looking for fish. Little ones found shells and rocks in the... More

This is the beach on the island fully equipped for people wanting to be near the water and near food. Sun beds with umbrellas are plentiful and the beaches are great for families. Other beaches on Naxos are more exotic and secluded--this is the best one for the playful and hungry.

First time in Naxos island? Then this is the place to start exploring the famous beaches of the island. So as you leave behind the town of Naxo and heading for the airport keep driving by the sea and follow the signs for Agios Prokopios. Having the sea on your left and follow the sign for Agios Prokopios Little church... More

Whilst featured on lots of 'best beaches on Naxos' websites, I was underwhelmed with this beach. Yes it is a nice beach however it had a lack of protection from the wind, lots of street sellers interrupting you whilst laying down and relaxing and I just felt that you should head one beach down to Agia Anna which had less... The hotels are by the beach. The sea is not deep waters and it is sand inside and outside at the beach. There are plenty of restaurants, food market and beach bars. It is the first choice especially for families

We visited this beach in August and our feelings are mixed. The reason was that the beach had wonderful and clean water but on the other hand the whole place had a very bad smell. It is sad to have such a nice beach smelling like that.

Blue sea and pale sand for as far as the eye can see. This is the best beach to visit when in Naxos.

Used to sleep on this beach 30 odd years ago as a student when there wasn't a sun bed in sight - just back packers and two men tents! Still as beautiful ( sand and water like the Caribbean) but slightly more commercialised! Nevertheless, my family loved the crystal clear water and we had long walks along it to the... More

We have visited this beach on busy dates . There are a lot of sunbeds. , some close to one another some at a reasonable distance . The water is perfect , very cold but crystal clear , like an enormous swimming pool. The sand also nice and clean . The bay of agios Prokopios is very long . There... More
