The square wasn’t too busy when we visited which was surprising considering the next day was the anniversary of Castro’s death. This is a typical Cuban square with a central raised seating area containing trees and plants. Around the perimeter there are some impressive, interesting...More

Our tour guide decided we should stop here and it was really worth it. The architecture is really grand and prepares you for heading to Trinidad. I can't write a review of Yayabo Bridge (as it's not on TripAdvisor), but that's definitely worth a visit...More

I like Sancti Spiritus and this square is a place to view old colonial buildings, some open to the public such as the library. More important is seeing how locals spend their time and to converse with them. From here make sure you walk down...More

After years doing some tours around Cuba I did not stopped here! Sancti Spiritus is an amazing and really beautiful city. Parks, colonial architecture, colors and a clean city are enough to stay here for a night or two. I liked it a lot and...More

Dating back to the 17th century the city center was a shrine and convent. Later used as a Plaza de Armas for military exercises and concerts. Now a park surrounded by remodeled houses and commercial buildings for both residents and tourists to enjoy.

The street around the park are full of colourful Spanish era buildings, bars, restaurants and shops. Worth a visit, especially for the cigar factories. I have been told there are 8 in the town, but we visited the Constantin Pineda or Pinera factory. All the...More

It's where to go to find wi-fi. A short walk on the main shopping street (a pedestrian mall) will take you toward the city's oldest church, its famous old bridge, and quite a number of fine old buildings with fine old doorways. The Hotel Plaza...More
